    Superman Done Right

In the second issue of Superman For All Seasons, we get a glimpse at Superman, now the established protector of Metropolis, through the eyes of Lois Lane.

Once again we have a superhero story told with the sense of awe and wonder we haven't seen since Busiek and Ross' Marvels. Bjarne Hansen's outstanding colors deserve mention here - from the skies over Metropolis to the depths of the sea, and the fields of Smallville.

There's also some great hidden references to other comics here too - see if you can spot the reference to John Byrne's Man of Steel #3 (which also serves to give some context to the time frame of the story) and another reference to one of the longest running newspaper comic strips in history.

The book even manages to come up with a Luthor plot that hasn't been done before, yet still feels retro. In only the second issue, this mini-series already feels as much like a defining work as Byrne's Man of Steel mini-series.
