"We Don't Rank In Anyone's New World Order."

    Synopsis

The Suicide Squad versus the terrorist group Basilisk! Another member of the team leaves!

    The Good

Check out that cover, I quite like the inky effect and the way those energy Boomerangs were done. Good work Ken Lashley

I'm also pleased that Federico Dallocchio takes full pencilling duties, because I am a fan of his shadowy style (perfect for the characters he portrays!) He is able to keep on-model for all the characters as well as do some great realistic facial expressions (particularly during conversations).

The story too for the main part is well written too, as we quickly introduced to the new terrorist cell Basilisk we get a good idea throughout the issue that Task Force X are up against a well-equipped group of fanatics. We also get some great banter between the squad, in particular the verbal clashes between Captain Boomerang (the latest "leader" of the Squad) and Deadshot (the previous one in command). Yo-Yo's unique power also comes briefly into play this issue.

What I think is the most important part this month is the seeds which set Harley Quinn up to escape in the upcoming "The Hunt For Harley Quinn" arc. I won't spoil it, but it's still quite important to know.  On a smaller note, the others are starting to notice something's wrong with King Shark... (perhaps not just a cannibalistic monster?)

Finally, the premise for next issue is set up and it looks quite interesting too! Nice one-panel page art too. :)

    The Bad

As mentioned last issue, yet another Squad member gets bumped off. I didn't mind how it was done, but I was rather hoping it wasn't this particular character. I do hope due to the nature of their "departure" they come back for revenge! Next time though, less double-crossing from the same character please?

(spoilers on who get kicked off the team)
Also as a minute point, why does the solicitations say the Suicide Squad are fighting Kobra? They're not, they are fighting Basilisk. Silly!

    Conclusion

Overall, good issue with solid artwork and story. We are also starting to get the feel that an overarching plot is looming on us. Recommend for those with #1-3. :)

Consider me very focused right now 0

After four issues, the new version of the Suicide Squad wraps up the first story arc in this issue.  It was a bit of an effort to get here, but this is an entertaining enough issue.  By the time that Captain Boomerang showed up at the end of the previous issue it seemed as if things were heading downhill in this series, but he ends up being used here pretty well, facing off with Deadshot about how to handle the mission.  The team is still interested in getting the information they need about the...

      Secretive Suicide Squad 0

Adam Glass and Federico Dallocchio have surprised me with how incredible this series has been. Do they continue the shocks and awes in this issue?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. It's very clean and the lines are well established. I really like the coloring. It makes it look menacing and it makes the book feel like it should. Deadly. Now, the story is where I really like what happened. We get to see the Squad take a few good guys and then we come across a girl. Deadshot and Amanda Waller have ...
