While that is new information but after thinking about it, is it really unexpected? It seems safe to assume that pretty much all animated movies will now be in 3-D. Whether you like them that way or not, it's the way Hollywood is approaching the animated movies now.
What are your thoughts on a Smurfs movie? I'm not gonna lie, I was a fan as a child. I had a few of the little figures around my house growing up and I watched the cartoon (until they introduced the new Smurfs including the hillbilly ones). Recently it seems as if the Smurfs are making a comeback. I've started seeing the little plastic/rubber figures as well as plush toys in different sizes. There's also been a couple DVD releases for the first couple seasons of the show. Would you be interested in seeing a Smurfs movie? Are they relevant to you or will this be geared towards a new generation? Do you think they will create a new origin or pick up from where ever the cartoon show left off? Will we see the same characters or will there be updated versions? Will this be a hit or just a box office disaster?
