Robocop packs a punch!
I will admit i have always had a soft spot for the first Robocop movie. It has aged so well and I never get sick of it. I picked up Frank Miller's Robocop becuase i heard it was the original script intended for the second film but was never used. That version of Robocop was..meh. But I thought the artwork looked very good for this new dynamite series so I decided to give it a shot. I was not dissapointed. I'm reviewing the entire 4 part arc as a whole. The arc was phenominal. The tone of the comic very much keeps with the tone of the first Film. Its gritty, dark, satrical but above all very well written. The artwork was really somthing to take in. Neves really knows how to draw on the strength's of Williams writing. The greatest thing I enjoyed about this series is the fact that the character of Robocop was brought back in to 2010, and done right. I've always thought he was tailor made for comics. Apprently not everyone agrees with me. To my shock and dissapointment, Robocop is a very low selling book with little or no interest from average readers. It saddens me that material of this quality is on the verge of cancelation. Nevertheless, I urge anyone looking for a good read to pick this up.
