Biography
The Mysterious Man - Part 1
New Years Eve, 2010
The fireworks lit up the sky all over the world, people celebrated the New Year that was upon them. In a silent office just outside Washington D.C. a officer was working on this celebrated night, he sighed as he grabbed the hot noodle soup that was placed on the desk in front of him. “Why do I have to work tonight?” He mumbled with a mouthful of noodles. Before taking another mouthful of noodles he looked at the computer screen that was monitoring the sky. ‘Unidentified Aircraft’ The officer looked at the radar and saw the tiny blip on it. “What on Earth...?” He said out-loud as he placed the noodle soup on the desk, before thinking of anything else he grabbed with a firm hand on the phone and called down the Chief Master Sergeant. “What is it, Staff Sergeant?” the CMS asked as he bent over to see what was going on. “Look, sir.” The Staff Sergeant commanded as he pointed his index finger at both the computer monitor and the radar. “It can’t be a missile or a rocket, sir.” The Staff Sergeant continued.
The CMS stood slowly up not taking his eyes of the computer monitor. “Do you have any idea where it is heading?” the CMS gave the Staff Sergeant a dead eye as he wanted an answer right this moment. “Well, it landed in the outskirts of Nevada, sir.” The Staff Sergeant was nervous, started to sweat and began to stutter. “Well? What are you waiting for, get us out there!” The CMS said to the Staff Sergeant.
“It’s New Year’s Eve guys! Why am I out here?” A man in his mid 30’s, who goes by the name Simon Ward, who is definitely not the athletic type with his hipster glasses and his white shirt tucked into his trousers. “You will be informed when you get to the site.” The man opposite him was wearing an army uniform with the Medal of Honor on the right side of his chest. Simon Ward fixed his glasses and sighed as he hoped that he could chow down on leftovers when he went back home, if he ever goes home.
The loud noise from the helicopter’s engine interrupted every thought that Simon had; he pushed his glasses back up on the nose with his index finger as he looked out the window as they passed in . “So what’s the story?” Simon demanded as he looked over to the other two scientists as he gave them a look that wanted answers. “Well what we’ve heard is that the army discovered some kind of an orb or a liquid object that crash-landed somewhere in .” One of the scientists said. “But that is just what the pilot said, might be true, and might not.” Simon nodded as he looked back at the window. “ETA two minutes.” the pilot said over the inter-com.
The helicopter was getting ready to land as the pilot lowered the helicopter’s altitude. Simon closed his eyes as the helicopter started to move around as it landed. Five seconds later the engine got quiet and the two scientists got out of the helicopter. Slowly and carefully Simon opened his eyes and looked around, seeing the scientists looking and waiting for Simon to come out. “Oh, yeah I’m coming.” He grabbed his brown leather bag and stepped out.
“Doctor Simon Ward, isn’t it?” the X.O said as he extended his hand towards Simon. “Yes, yes it is. And you are?” Simon asked as he took a firm handshake. “I am Executive Officer, Andrew Smith.” Simon took a quick look around the place, the place was as empty as any desert, and the one thing that stood out from this desert than any desert in the world was the liquid orb that hovered three centimeters above the sandy ground. Simon walked toward the strange object, his eyes widened as he approached the orb. “It’s beautiful.” Simon whispered to himself as he reached out towards it, his fingertip merely touched the outer layer and with that the whole orb dissolved and the liquid, that was like water moved in every direction like water and dried up on the hot sand. Simon jumped back and the two scientists ran towards Simon to check if he was alright.
A man flushed out of the liquid orb and laid on the hot sand for few seconds before puking out magenta liquid and as his eyes opened a blue glow appeared as it gazed up at the clear sky his mouth opened and the man took a deep breath before passing out on the hot sand. Simon rushed towards the unconscious man that laid there naked on the sand. “Simon cover him up with this.” One of the scientists threw a blanket at him. As Simon covered him up he saw some kind of a necklace hanging on his neck with one digit. “7?”
The Mysterious Man - Part 2
Area 51, Nevada
78 miles from where the mysterious orb landed and 83 miles from is a large military airfield, the original idea for this military airfield was to experiment on aircrafts and weapon systems, but the government had other ideas.
The light flickered in the cold white room with one table with an unconscious individual laying on it, two men entered the room and their gleaming polished shoes echoed as the two men approached the table. One of the men was Simon Ward and the other one was a military officer who escorted Simon that had been examining the man.
“What is that thing?” the officer asked Simon as he looked closely on the figure laying there. “He resembles a human being, right?” the officer continued as he looked back at Simon with a confused look.
“He is human, sir. His DNA is human in all aspects.” Simon said as he handed the officer the clip board. “He´s a perfectly healthy human, with no known diseases. So I can´t tell you where he´s from, or when he´s from.” Simon said as he looked the officer in the eyes.
“When? You´re not considering what I think you´re considering, doctor” the officer said as he looked back at the man. “Well yes, Time Travel. At this point I´m not excluding anything.” Simon said as he went to the monitors and checked is life signs. “Stable.” Simon added.
“Let´s not get ahead of ourselves, Simon! Let´s keep our feet on the ground and keep to the facts.” The military officer said with a resounding tone. “Well let´s consider the facts.” Simon said, his annoyance showing. “The man’s human, he´s perfectly healthy plus he hasn´t got no known diseases and the orb that he was inside of we know came from outer space and contains technology no one on Earth knows of. And those are the facts.”
Simon said as he approached the military officer and with both hands reached out towards the clip board. “But maybe I´m talking above you´re pay scale!” Simon added as he removed the clip board from the officer´s hands.
The officer looked at Simon, not quite pleased with the doctor’s attitude towards a military officer, the officer coughed as he turned towards the unconscious man. “So, when´s our sleeping beauty gonna wake up?” the officer asked. “He could wake up later today.” Simon stopped as he turned to face the officer who seemed please again. “Or in a week, month, maybe even in ten years.” Simon added.
The door to the experimental room opened as a young man rushed in. “Doctor Ward, I have news about the liquid orb.” The young man was out of breath as he continued talking after he caught he breath. “It wasn´t actually an orb.” The man added.
“Well what was it then?” the officer asked waiting for a reply from either Simon or the young apprentice. The young man handed out the clip board to Simon. “Think of a fetus, sir.” The young man turned to the military officer. “I´m thinking of it, why is that so important?” the officer answered the question of the young man.
“The fetus lives inside the womb of their mother for 9 months, sir. The mysterious orb isn´t an orb, it was a cocoon. The man that is laying there, it seems to me that the cocoon was some kind of a womb.” The young man said as he left the military officer speechless for sometime before Simon interrupted. “That does seem possible, since we do not know how long he has been inside of the orb…I mean cocoon.”
Their chatter fainted as the three men headed out of the door to check the sample of the strange liquid that was found at the site. The door closed behind them and a silence was in the room at last, the lights in the room dimmed as the hour began to pass and evening arrived, the steady bleeping of the monitors, softly began to change it´s tune, showing an increased heartbeat. In the dark room, two blue eyes full of life opened and a glimpse of a thought.
“I´m born again.”
Number Seven - Part 1
Simon pulled out his phone as it started to vibrate in his pocket as soon as he saw what was on the screen on his phone he quickly put the phone in the same pocket as before, threw the papers he was working on into the file and rushed out. “What´s wrong?” the young man asked as his eyes followed Simon’s movement as he rushed out the door. “Our patient…he´s awake.”
The door opened and Simon and his apprentice stepped inside the room, which wasn´t as empty as he left it before. “What’s going on here?” Simon asked, with a demanding manor towards the military officer and his companions. “We´re starting our interrogations, doctor.” The military officer replied with a smirk on his face. “You´ll have time for a chit chat later! Right now, my trainee and I will need to make sure he´s fine.” Simon said as he raised the file he had in his hand above the chest. “So I will need you and you´re team of Jarheads to go outside while we work.” Simon continued and moved from the door towards the patient.
“Simon, this has to be done ASAP. But I´ll give you this one.” The military officer nodded towards Simon and looked at his military staff. “Alright, you heard the man, wait outside for a moment.” He added as he made the motion like he was pushing them outside. As the other left the military officer closed the door and approached Simon and his trainee, Simon looked up and handed his trainee the file. “You too, Andrew.” And pointed with his index finger at the door. “We have work to do, and I´m sure that you people have something to do other than hanging around.” Simon said. Andrew Smith, the military officer otherwise known as the Executive Officer of this project.
Andrew shook his head as he looked at Simon, Andrew’s irritation plainly obvious. Before saying anything that seemed to him to be a very wise choice but he considered that Simon would say something wiser. But the futility of the argument made Andrew back down. He nodded and walked out the door.
“How are his signs?” Simon said as he ordered his trainee to check the monitors. The patient opened his eyes and looked around; his eyes widened as he had no idea where he was or who these people were that were around him. “Hello?” Simon said as he bent over to let the stranger see his face. “Do you understand me?”
The man nodded as he looked straight to Simon’s eyes. “Well we now know he understands English.” Simon said as he wrote that down. “Take a blood sample and check if his pupils will dilate.” Simon said towards his trainee. “I´m going to ask him some questions before the army does, I´m quite curious about him.” Simon and his trainee looked at the strangers monitor for a second and as they turned their heads, the stranger was already sat up.
The trainee looked at Simon with a confused look. “Sir?” the trainee said as he didn’t take his eyes off of the patient. Simon approached the patient and sat down in front of him. “What is you’re name?” Simon asked as he waited for a reply. The patient looked at Simon as if he was stupid. “Well alright, where are you from?” Simon asked again, not knowing how to respond to this silent figure.
The trainee walked up to Simon and whispered in his ear something. “Do you speak English?” Simon asked hoping for some reply. “Yes.” The patient responded and Simon closed his eyes celebrating in his thoughts. “What is you’re name?” Simon asked again. “I don’t know. And I do not know where I´m from either.” The patient responded. “Where am I?” the patient added while looking at Simon and then the trainee separately. “You’re in in the .”
“Can you bring the sample from the cocoon here?” Simon asked the trainee. “Why?” the trainee asked as he started to walk towards the door. “I want to examine it.” Simon responded. “But I already did.” The trainee said as he thought he did a bad job. “I know you did I want to examine it myself. Can you fetch it for me?” He added and his trainee was off.
“Is something wrong?” the patient asked as he saw the trainee rush out the door. “No nothing you should be concerned about at this moment.” Simon said as he gave the patient a warm smile and a wink.
The trainee returned with the sample of liquid found in the cocoon. “Thank you.” Simon said as he took the sample and placed it on the table behind him. “Have you found out what his name is?” the trainee asked as he was as well curious about this odd fellow. “No not yet.” Simon said disappointed of their progress. “Well what are we supposed to call him then?” The trainee asked again as he followed Simon where his mentor was examining the sample.
Simon tapped on the paperwork he had been working on as he had his eyes glued to the computer monitor.
“Number Seven?”
Number Seven - Part 2
Area 51,
The light flickered in the cold bathroom, a figure stood in front of the mirror as the features of his face appeared. With his soft cold hands he touched the cheek, he gasped for air as he saw himself in the mirror. His blue eyes were full of life, his mouth started to move but nothing came out. His heart started to beat on a normal speed as it echoed around the bathroom. He put his hands under the running water, it was cold.
The door to the bathroom rushed open as a woman with blond hair appeared in the entryway, the cold air swooped in made Number Seven shiver. The beautiful woman wore nothing that had any army reference in it, the white skirt that stopped at her tanned knees, and a blue tank top that showed a black bra underneath. A smile appeared on Number Seven as he stood there, wet black hair, towel wrapped around his waist. She gestured him to step outside the bathroom, which he did.
“What do you want?” He asked as stared at the white wall where he kept his only clothes. His towel fell onto the concrete white ground and his bare skin was showing. The young woman took a quick glance at the man in front of him and folded her arms.
“I see you have been busy, Number Seven.” Quickly he pulled his blue jeans on and spun around with his hands in his pockets and facing the beautiful young woman. He flexed his muscles as she shook her head and approached Number Seven, placing her hands on his warm chest as she bit her lower lip.
“It’s not like I have a choice, since I’ve been here for –“His hand went straight to the woman’s face as he felt her feminine features, and then pushing her away. Her facial expression resembled desperation as she approached the half naked man.
“Over a year.” She answered his question whilst she placed her hands on her hips.
The sun shone through the small barred window as it hit Number Seven’s pale skin, he grabbed his white t-shirt and put it on, it was getting tighter by the day. He raised his head as he looked at the window, his blue eyes glowed under the sunlight and the young woman smiled as she looked upon the fit man in front of her.
“You look like one of them superheroes that swarm all around here.” She said, her eyes sparkled after she did. Number Seven eyed her and she eyed him for a moment all was quiet. The daily routine of Area 51 could be heard outside, the trucks drove back and forth, the helicopters landing, the sound of jets flying in the skies with a noise.
His quarter seemed to be much like a prison cell, the white walls and floor, the iron door, the bars in the windows. The thought of him being a prisoner was strange; he hadn’t done anything to civilians or officers. Was it possible because he was from outer-space? He had spent 387 days in the cell, leaving the cell once every week for lessons with Simon.
"Am I a prisoner here?” he asked innocently, still making eye contact with the beautiful woman in front of him. She ignored his question and turned around to open the iron door and then it slammed shut. With a loud sigh he slowly sat on the edge of his bed and covered his face in his palms.
The sound of crickets outside Number Seven’s window, the white walls were dark and mysterious, since he discovered that one should fear the dark, one might never know what might lurk there. Shadow of the tree branches moved with the wind, Number Seven laid on his back on the uncomfortable thin bed, it was cold and lonely in the cell. His hands were behind the back of his head; his blue eyes made a little flash as he opened them up by hearing a noise outside his cell door. With a quick movement he went on two feet as his cold bare feet touched lightly the concrete floor, he moved slowly towards the wall beside the door. His quiet breath in a locked up cell was like a loud breath, hearing one woman and a man talking just behind the door.
The door opened with a thud and Number Seven backed away in a corner, seeing the shadow of the two figures standing in the doorway, the faint light that came through caught Number Seven’s left eye and as it did the left eye flashed with blue. “Number Seven?” one of the figure said, holding a clipboard up to her chest. “You’re being transferred.” She finished her sentence. Number Seven approached the figures as they led him out
