great chapter, slighted sendoff
i think there might be 10 pages total, featuring the half-pint variations of the once numerous X-Men. but 3 chapters have p[assed int eh crossover before they even get to make their own moves. i wont delve into the bonus content, spanning different times and places - but i will say that the kids act fast enough to leave their mark (in 11 pages). they find out which baddies their being protected from, shirk authority figures - and very personally the Prof himself. so Nori recruits whoevers willing to botch matters into their own hands. they manage to track down who the senior among them could have for years now, break in and encounter some real predators among their prey. with 2 issues to go in the series this is a fine way to go out - mostly for the art(Ramos). but i also get the feeling that Kyle n Yost are unloading everyone in preparation of X-Force. and if i remember right Vol 1 of X-Force meandered around alot after awhile on the stands.. so if NXM was a model for that Vol, its wrapping up neatly. making way for Wolverines new/darker incarnation. ive got no worries with Rogue's XML featuring all the kids nowadays.
