Girl fight!
We start the issue off with Domino and Scott talking about how Bastion is trying to eliminate all teleporters. Vanisher is shortly killed right after. Pierce has made his way to Utopia and he's going out with guns blazing. Scott is telling Hank that he appreciates everything that he is doing to help. 3.5 miles away from San Francisco, the X-Club are checking out this oil rig until this big red machine appears. At the Mess Hall Cable is telling Hope that she has to eat something. Moonstar starts a fight with Cable until Hope gets involved. A big fight between them happens. Suddenly the Blackbirds explode and is checked out by the X-Men. Pierce is ready to fight, but is killed by Scott's beam. At the end Hope is confessing to Cable that she lied about being ready. I felt like there was nothing really to the story. It was uninteresting and just a stepping stone to the next chapter. I mean how many more people are we gonna kil? Now on to the details. The cover was awesome. I didn't like the colors but I still thought it was great. I love Zeb Wells writing with the characters, but his writing on this story was not so hot. I love the way he writes Hope. For some reason the lettering when Pierce was talking at the end caught my eye. The penciling in this issue was gorgeous. It gave them like another dimension or something. The coloring was good, but it was way too dark. I only liked the coloring on Hank. The over-all art was good. Definitely one of the best things about this issue was the fight between Hope and Moonstar. It had this free flow kind of feel. I always love the dialogue in the X-Men stories. My favorite is between Hope and Cable. The same goes for character interaction. I can tell why Hope has always been so nervous around everyone because she lied about being ready. My favorite pages were 4,12,14,20,22. This issue lacked in the story department, but made up for it in everything else. I am giving this comic a 4 out of 5.
