Still going strong.
So I was blown away by the big reveal in the last issue. So much so that part of me was thinking that maybe it was just a trick. Maybe the "origin" of Madame Mirage was just a ruse. Looks like it's still the case. I still need to go back and re-read issues 1 and 2. If you haven't read it yet, what the heck are you waiting for. Read it before you "hear" what the whole story is. I shouldn't have been so surprised, we are talking about Paul Dini, the genius who is also a writer for LOST.
In this issue, the story continues. Madame Mirage's quest to rid the world of the "bad guys" goes to the next level. Story and art were top notch once again. I won't go into that because I think it should go without saying. What was enjoyable was the introduction of several new bad guys. It's just...fun reading about this new "universe" with no history or baggage tying it down. There's almost an "anything goes" attitude that I'm sure Mr. Dini will take advantage of.
Mirage moves one step closer to the evil Mr. Coyle. Once she comes face to face with him, will she survive? Does she have it all figured out? A very enjoyable issue with lots of action and another cliff hanger. I'm hoping this series continues strong and doesn't turn into a mini-series. I can't see that happening.
