Learning To Love Legion Lost

Legion Lost is a series that I have definitely notice improvement over issues. After Issue #1, I almost dropped it, Issue #2 won me to the series, and Issue #3 made me fall in love.
 
THE GOOD:
Pete Woods does a really good job on art duties. He makes the characters look special and everyone in the background as well. In this issue was get into the head of Timber Wolf. I really like how Fabian Nicieza is going into depth with the emotions. They are so different characters it's really refreshing. I really like seeing Timber Wolf leaving the group to do what he wants, but I also like how the team also has his back. I also really like the dread of the situation.
 
THE BAD:
Nothing.
 
THE VERDICT: 5/5 (Perfect)
I really like what is going on in this series. I feel that with this limited amount of characters we get a legion story but with a tons more character development. I would even go as far as saying that this is beating the series that it span-off from. Fabian Niceza writes a story that requires all of the characters to be working together even if some of them start to work on their own. A great series and highly recommend it to newbies that are just getting into the Legion.

This thus far is really the first solid issue in this series.  As the team searches for any traces of the pathogen, they are forced to mostly wait for any developments.  With Tellus searching through telepathy and Dawnstar trying to detect anything from the stratosphere, and both to no avail, it is up to Timber Wolf to track the spread using a bit more ingenuity and detective work, as opposed to simply relying on his powers (though he does that as well.)  This leads to a pretty decent fight sequ...

The Good: This issue does a lot of what impressed me last issue. Introducing us to the next Legion Lost member by focusing the narrative entirely around one character without neglecting the rest. I'm impressed that this issue didn't fall into the obvious trap of repeating last issue's hook; having the Hypersapien be transforming into an alien the same type as the focused character to make things more personal. Because that worked for a character like Wildfire, this issue DOES get us deep into Ti...
