I don't know much about her but it seems this will be the first time her and WW meet in the New 52.

We get Circe in this title, but not in Wonder Woman's solo? I'm a little disappointed, but I'll take it.

@ms-lola: I just hope Tomasi doesn't screw it up too bad. Judging from his early statements and characterization with Diana he's not really got a clue about her, which IMO will make capturing Circe's character difficult

She looks like Batwoman's mother gave birth to triplets and one of them was stolen and raised in Aeaea

Huh, I was sure they'd retcon Circe's appearance in Men of War and go back to her Pre-FP look. Guess not.

@saren: Seems they settled with retconning her approach to clothes. But I have to say I think her personality has probably also been shifted from 'etheral' to what looks to be 'teenager'.

im happy u know why cos circe is in the new52 (finally) BUT im also sad u want to know why........well.........cos what the F IS SHE DOING IN THE FREAKEN SM\WW COMIC AND NOT IN THE SOLO WW COMIC I MEAN HELLO MEREDITH YOU BUSY GIVING US SHOWER SCENES AND WW GETTING HER ASS KICKED BY SWAMP THING WHEN WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WAS I DIINNO GIVEN US CIRCE EVEN THE GOD DAMN CHEETAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyways on a good note great cover i love eds drawings...........................it also seems i can tick off another ww villain on my ww villains to show up in the new 52 list :)

we'll take a better look once this comes out but I agree with you, this design is a bit unremarkable, Circe should fill the room with her splendid unique presence

@foamborn: Right, I also hope that she is revealed as Wonder Woman's sister in this origin. It would make things very interesting. I have been unimpressed by the things going on with Wonder Woman so far.

Don't count on it, probably not even a god, just a witch. But what if this witch, who's technically not a God, coveted the throne and actually made an attempt to usurp Olympus! I'm up for a second spin on that merry-go-round. I wish Wonder Woman's foes aimed high, like very very high

@zhurong: given what's hapoening over in Solo land I very much doubt Circe will be Diana's sister.

Despite all, it's nice to see some familiar faces from Wonder Woman's pre-New 52 mythos.

LOL ... usually I'm an optimist by nature, but I've dropped pretty much everything Tomasi has ever written ... guess I just don't like his style.... sigh

indeed ... perhaps she could be a sister of Hippolyta (in Greek myth she had 3 or 4)

This issue is a ways off but it could be a good team up since she is working with Magog....for now

@zhurong: Don't know how, but somehow your comment gave me the idea that what if Diana fully accepted her title as the Goddess of War sometime in the future/or in some alternate universe or something and after moving up to Olympus, asks Donna to become Wonder Woman.

@saint_sophie: Yeah, Many characters replace each other so it wouldn't be new. We have seen Diana as Wonder Woman for many years. She can always take the Wonder Woman title back if she have to. She also has her daughter Fury would would make a great one in the future.
