I'm thinking of getting this, but I have a question:

Can it run .doc files? I know it can run .docx. It's complicated but I don't do docx files. Does it have an app that can read, create, and edit .doc files?

Aside from that, does anyone have any experience with this device in general? Pros? Cons?

Microsoft Office would be released to Android in the upcoming months but for the mean time, you can use OfficeSuite Pro. It can open .doc as well as .docx. Same goes with other "x" and "non-x" MS office filetypes.

I don't really know how Galaxy 10.1 works as I have a different unit (Galaxy Note 10.1) -which had generally lower review scores (should have gotten Tab 2 or an Ipad!). But I still loved my tablet despite that.

What do files saved in OfficeSuite save as? .doc or .docx?

@JediXMan: There's an option to whether save it as .doc, .docx, .rtf, or .txt...
