HBO's Rome vs Starz Spartacus

Rome was a better show.

I liked Spartacus more...I hear a lot of really, really good things about Rome. But, I have never had enough of a want to watch it...

"How Titus Pullo Brought Down The Republic" might be one of my favorite episodes in TV history. The way they spun that to integrate the characters was brilliant.

@jonny_anonymous: I all ready started...finally bought Rome 2 Total War a month ago (was putting it off because those games always launch with issues) and now I'm back in history mode.

Rome was better. Spartacus got cheesy as hell with its super melodramatic tone (and this is coming from a guy who likes melodrama) and I hated the character of Spartacus so much. I still like the show, but Rome was so much better.

Rome! Sucks that it had to end so quickly, but it was a very good series.

Haven't seen Rome but i'm thinking of giving it a shot with all the praise its getting here -.o

But spartacus is always better when it comes to sex scenes.

Rome was a better show. Spartacus was better to watch and make fun of. Spartacus Season 1 finale was amazing though.

I won't vote yet because I just finished watching all of the series Spatacus and just started Rome, but after the hyper-stylized camerawork in Spartacus the camerawork in Rome seems like a BBC drama...excellent but not a reason to watch. The slo-mo was somewhat over used in Spartacus, but it did create an overall style that really stands out. I gree it was in the same style as 300.

Spartacus taught me what sex was. I used to watch it when I was 8 for the sex scenes while my parents were asleep. I've never seen Rome, but I'm gonna vote against it anyways.
