Poll Has Profanity Lost its Meaning? (26 votes)
You can't avoid cussing on the Interwebs, it keeps happening over and over to the point that it's to be expected. Give reasons and respond politely.

Maybe a little bit but not that much. Its not allowed on comicvine, and only certain words are allowed on regular cable shows and even some primetime shows. People say all types of crazy things on the internet though, I wouldnt use that to judge their meaning.
I have never been a big fan of profanities but after a while you get used to it.
I don't swear, on Internet or the real life, but I am used to hearing\ reading people swear. Doesn't really bother me anymore.
The very concept of "cuss words" makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
Pretty much.
I'd prefer it be used to underscore something, but it doesn't offend me. I can understand why some people are, though.

No.
Using profanity in the right context can cause people to take notice. However, in it's everyday usage on the internet, I feel we have became desensitized to it. I personally choose not to (most of the time), I tend to get my point across without using foul language.
Well when its used in situations repeatedly it does.
I curse on the internet because I want to. I can avoid cursing on the net. Believe me.
Same here.
