Adult Graphic Novel Collection for Libraries

Hi everyone!

I just recently was put in charge of developing the adult graphic novel collection at my local public library. I have read a few graphic novels, but for the most part I'm pretty new to the area. I would love any and all help and suggestions people can provide. I will provide a list as soon as I can of what we already own.

I've read most of the GNs on this list and except for maybe the Sandman compilations, the Dark Knight Returns is the best one for my money DK2 on the other hand sucks zombie butt, I'd avoid it if possible.

@xlr87t3 Not as much as I would like for already having 1 master's degree and working on my second.

@jmbaugh: I ask this because I've always wanted to work at the library. Seems like a very peaceful and stress-free job with probably better pay then Fast-Food places or grocery stores.

Quoting this for my own personal reference.

@xlr87t3: I'm paid $15.30/hr. However, I work at a very small library (10 staff total). Larger libraries in more affluent areas pay much better. That being said, I wouldn't use peaceful and stress-free to describe a public library. I have numerous horror stories of life in a library, including calling the police/ems/fire multiple times, kicking people out, getting yelled at by irate patrons, and dealing with other libraries. But I do love my job, just not always the patrons.
