Zack Snyder States Braniac in the future.

Zack Snyder himself stated that Braniac is down the road in the DC Universe and hints that it may be a Superman Solo film.

He Also states that before Batman was added Metallo was going to be the main villain of Batman V Superman... but than it wouldn't be Batman V Superman so what would I call it...?

Brainiac will probably be the 1st Justice League villian, I feel like this almost confirms it.

It's be awesome if they adapted the "United we stand" story from Justice League Unlimited with Lex and Brainiac.

Why would Batman, a hero being added in BvS should affect the villain? Metallo is not some mastermind type , he could have easily been a henchman type villain working for Lex. Its a 2 on 1 handicap match against Lex Luthor for now.

Under normal circumstances, I'd be glad that a Superman villain I've wanted to appear for so long will eventually show up in a Superman movie at some point. But considering this is the DCCU and Snyder/Goyer are in charge of Superman, I can't begin to worry about how badly they'll screw up my second favourite Superman rogue with their interpretation of the source material.

@deadgod: because Metallo is not a big enough threat to actually bring the trinity together like let's day Doomsday. Yeah Metallo is a threat, but Superman should be able to deal with him alone eventually.

Hopefully he's better than Ultron. But that isn't saying much.

With Ares, I also see James Purefoy or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau owning it.

They better use the alien version and not the kryptonian robot version.

It would've made a lot of sense to me for having Metallo be the villain in MOS2 because it would be like the government responding to Superman in fear he might turn out like Zod. That would have been a great story with BvS being a good follow up. But oh well.
