Posted a thread similar to this a long while ago. Thought it would be interesting to see the difference in responses and get some current information on what's good. I know my choices have changed.
RULES
1) You're on a desert island with no means of escape for the next 5 years.
2) Once a month, a turtle swims to your island with a parcel which contains some food, fresh water, and three single-issue comic books of your choice. The books must be current.
3) Assume that for the entire duration of your stay that the creative teams on your comic books will remain consistent.
WHICH 3 COMICS WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
My choices would be Invincible, Black Science, and Birthright...all for the same reason: self-contained, kick-ass story telling with beautiful visuals. They also don't pull punches when depicting violence which I suppose is bonus. They also all tend to be soap opera like, with over-the-top reveals. Never ever planned on becoming an Image guy but currently their books top my list.
