What's more impressive, moon busting or multi-continent busting?

It takes more energy to destroy the moon than the mass of multiple continents, but if it’s one big explosion originating at one point, that is so big it completely engulfes multiple continents, it may very well surpass moon level.

For example, if you sent thousands of different explosions that whipped multiple continents, that would be less than moon level, but if it was one big potent explosion like a tailed beat bomb, ki blast explosion, ect. That had the width of multiple continents and entered space due to how tall it was, it would probably be above moon level.

Depends on how many continents are busted

Moon were always hard to me on putting at tiers, I always liked to use Continents instead of Moons.

Depends. For example, if someone let loose a blast that completely erased all land from Earth, that would surpass Moon level. Just having the power to destroy two continents wouldn't be Moon level.

Moon busting also if you're busting moon while being on earth then that's far far more powerful than just moon level since it's energy overcame the GBE of the planet so that becomes an at least large planet level

Depends. Moon busting whilst being on the moon is less powerful then, let's say evaporating Africa, Asia and Europe together in one hit (literally evaporate everything, the whole mass on the tectonic plate, not just blow up the crust). In general moon-busting is better though

Also, If we take all continents in consideration and the calcs I posted above, Moon and All Continents shouldn't be too far from each other I would say.

By most of calcs on Internet, Moon lvl and Multi Continent (all of them) should be very equal isn't?

I mean, let's say All continents are pangeia-like, they could be pretty much equal.

Depends. I think if comparing to our moon then equally as powerful for the most part. If we're talking about the smallest moon in our solar system then obviously multi continent.

@antebellum: Problem is that guy is calculating the energy to completely vaporize the rocks rather than just removing them from gravatational influence of the planet and also he considering the whole earth surface meaning to say even the surface inside oceans and other water bodies .

real earth surface wiping(considering crust as the surface as per that guy ) energy would be 30% of that value

The energy you posted for bursting moon is only the energy required to overcome the gravitational binding if moon is completely vaporized like the crust the energy would come out to be much more than 1.2 * 10^29

either way moon vaporizing > surface vaporizing

and moon bursting > surface bursting
