Because Anti metal uses vibrations to destroy other metals and vibranium absorbs vibrations they cancel each other (that is why Black pather can use the antimetal claws with his vibranium armor). Cap shield has vibranium so it would cancel the effects from anti metal.

Also,hasn't Cap's shield resisted Corvus's blade,which splits atoms?

Captain America's shield is part vibranium, it doesn't take on all of the properties of pure wakanada vibranium.

Well i doubt it unless they are above odin level now. It has vibranium adamantium and also was repaired with uru during fear itself

@black_arrow: it doesn't have both the properties to the fullest, it can't, ithas to have either one or the other, and it reflect blast/energy which is why it can bounce off walls ect... Instead of simply absorb the impact and fall to the ground.

If that were true then Captain America (when he covers with his shield) would die from a hit of Thor. Maybe only in the borders it doesn't have vibranium. But this is all speculation we don't know if this is true. Cap shield has only been broken by Skyfather and above. And there is no indication that it would break with antimetal.

Nothing. You need high tier magic or matter manipulation on a large scale in order to break it.

@black_arrow: it doesn't absorb impact as much as reflect it, which is why It can tank Thor's hammer.

And when you tried to correct me by saying no, there is nothing to suggest antimetal wouldn't work on the shield since it isn't full vibranium, it should work on the other half metal.

Thor with the Odin force disintegrated it and rune king Thor dented it.
