Poll Most Relatable Villain (23 votes)
This is a follow up to the most relatable Anti-hero poll. I hope many don't relate to a lot of characters here. haha

Which villain do you relate to the most? And why? It's good if you don't relate to any! And remember everything on the internet lasts forever.

I used to have Doctor Doom's superiority complex but none of his genius, maybe that's why he became my favourite villain ahaha, I'm grateful that I've been humbled over the years though. I still can empathise with his jealousy some times but my temper is not nearly as bad as his.
Walter White is pretty easily the most relatable of the bunch here. His whole thing is about feeling like he's wasted his life and everything he did is based on that. The whole idea of becoming a monster works so well for him because he starts off like a normal dude. Sure he has a narcissistic personality, but even despite that he's still fairly normal with relatable concerns about his life and self worth.
@brogokudestroys: Precisely. He struck me too as a really broken villain who was actually just a regular dude
Can’t say I relate to any of them, but Magneto always seemed relatable to me. Tho I’m not even sure if he’s even a villain anymore
I completely forgot about Black Adam if he was one of your favorites even if don't relate with him, I'd still want to put people's favorites.
I'm going to do a hero one, so hopefully, at the very least, get some of your favorite heroes on the list. If you have any, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks. Do you agree with the idea that Peter Parker was borderline supervillain with his mentality before his selfish choice leading to his Uncle Ben's murder?
Asking since I thought Spider-man was, at the very least, most relatable superhero for you.
I am doing the Most Relatable Hero poll, so hope I get your choice! These polls were inspired by your poll asking if Spider-man was the most relate-able superhero after all!
Johan Liebert
How come?
He's pretty scary.

Thanks for your explanation. Makes sense for why Breaking Bad was so popular.

I wouldn't say he's a regular dude, but yeah he's meant to be relatable and grounded and he succeeds in that really well
Johan is indeed scary, but Johan is fundamentally a broken child lashing out at the world in a sense. He's purposeless and he wants to find his identity and find his place in the world but because he never got love as a child he was never raised to think that he had any place in the world or that he even had an actual identity. I think that whole desire of finding out who you are is pretty relatable.

Thank you for your explanation!
For me, it is Ulquiorra from Bleach. I always related to his nihilism
Thanks! I'm not familiar with the character, but thought of putting Bleach characters but just ran out of time.
I'm going to do a follow up hero poll so hopefully I get yours!

No problem
I can't think of single fictional villain I relate to which is crazy. Out of this list, Katakuri because of the protective brother thing but he not even a villain. Just an antagonist.
You can't relate to a single villain? Even guys like Tony Soprano or Walter White?
@brogokudestroys: Nope. I don't have a dying wife or sell drugs so how am I suppose to relate to Walter White? lol
Walter White. He started out a good person doing only what was needed out of desperation but it showed how man is corruptible
I think people are getting understanding mixed up with relatability.
You can understand why someone is a certain way without actuality personally relating to them.
For example, if I had friend who had a dog that passed away I could understand why he is sad but if I never personally had a pet that passed that means I can't relate to what that feels like.
Or I could understand why illegal immigrants cross over a border for a better life. Doesn't mean I have that personal experience to relate to what they go through.
Red Hood, Megatron (In some continuities), Goo Kim.
Thanks. Just looked up Goo Kim.

He just really likes money and fighting.
I can sympathize with both.
@wushu59: in the case of Walter White you can relate to the feeling of wasting your life and potential. The Ego. The duality. When you make up motivations for yourself because you’re to embarrassed to admit the truth to yourself.
I've never had the feeling of my life being wasted thankfully so I can't relate. lol
That was a good angle you did there though.
@brogokudestroys: Nope. I don't have a dying wife or sell drugs so how am I suppose to relate to Walter White? lol
Skylar never died though...and that isn't exactly what it means to be relatable lol. Most characters aren't relatable by that logic.

Relatability is seeing yourself in a character. You don't have to be doing the same thing or having the exact situation. That isn't really relatability

Are you a boxer?

I'd hope no one would relate to anyone on this list exactly. These are villains.
I'm doing a hero poll, and I doubt most would relate to being heroes.
@infinitehope: Sort of,
My schools whatever. Over the summer I decided to take up boxing and martial arts classes. Did pretty well for a newbie.
I’ve been in four fights recently. And then did exactly what Goo does.
Use something in the room as a weapon.
@chris2kzombieki: Thanks. Hope the boxing and martial arts continues to do well. And stay safe!
@infinitehope: Thank you!
Probably mags
Who?
Magneto probably is
Thank you.
General Zod for sure
Are you good at singing? Since he has such great pipes yelling in the Man of Steel movie. jk Thank you.
Walter for being out for money, feeling worthless as a man initially, having secrets, an ego and also he's a human being where many other options on this poll are superhumans.
