Is anyone else Wondering how Luke Cage got knocked out by a shotgun?

Like I understand his insides are relatively human like ours but it makes no sense that he'd be knocked down by a shotgun. When he was fighting Diamond Back they would have killed each other after a few hits if his insides could be sent into shock like that. When you think about it one punch to the head from Diamond Back should have killed Luke because they hit a lot harder than shotgun blasts. Also when he was blown up he should have definitely hit his head, and since his head is like steel his brain would probably get injured.

What are your thoughts? Was it just the writers way to stop Luke for that moment or did it actually make sense.

It doesn't really make much sense no, but meh.

They needed a way for Jessica to beat him

Clearly was for plot. He has taken way more damage now in his own series

I think it's plausible, I'd say that's just his limit. I don't think he's taken that much force directly to the skull apart from this, makes sense it almost killed him.

Shotgun solos the MCU

100% PiS, Luke is obviously way above shotgun shot durable in most of his showings. Unfazed by tons of automatic fire, two building level explosions, still unharmed, stopped the van that crashed into him right in it's tracks, etc.

We know that Luke Cage met Jessica Jones before Diamond Back, this means that when he was shot with the shotgun by Jessica Jones he lost consciousness and almost died. But the issue with the Judas bullet is that it penetrates Luke’s skin and he needed to be soaked in acid again, in season 2 Luke is now resistant to these bullets after becoming stronger and since he fought with Diamond Back after his treatment with acid which is possibly why he wasn’t knocked out by Diamond Back’s punches.

He was shot underneath the jaw which IIRC is a knockout blow area.

Luke generally felt weaker in JJ, IIRC the drug dealer staggered him with his punches and, he didn't seem to be as invulnerable to bullets as in his own series.
