IGN Top 10 Villians

So IGN finally released their top ten of the top 100 villains. I usually do not agree with their lists and I usually don't go to the site but the guy I work with is video game crazy and is always on there.

So what do you all think of the top ten choices?

1. Magneto
2. Joker
3. Doctor Doom
4. Lex Luthor
5. Galactus
6. Darkseid
7. Ra's al Ghul
8. Loki
9. Dark Phoenix
10. Kingpin

I think the top ten is almost OK but if you take the time to look at all 100 you'll see lots of characters given either less or more respect than they deserve

Probably would have replaced Kingpin with Sinestro.

Nothing hugely shocking there.  I mean, they're all well established & villainous.  But Magneto at number 1???  I'm not convinced.  He's not always been a villain... he was headmaster at the school, and helped to bring Xavier back to life/consciousness recently in Legacy. 

I'd have expected Joker to be number 1.  Not Doom though... not someone who was defeated by Squirrel Girl ;)

Not to say that IGN isn't in the know about comic books, but this is kind of an example of how the general public would say Magneto is the biggest villain because they've heard his name the most. I'd agree that I see Joker as more of top spot character.

i read the whole what, 100 list there. pure stupidity. then again its IGN. theyre not exactly known for being the source on comics, in fact they only recently showed more attention to comics do to their movie success, otherwise their primary handle was video games.
in other words, what they say doesnt mean squat. also, Wizard Magazine should have words with them about dircetly plagurizing
their articles.

I followed this and i have to say,  i was very disappointed with a lot of the rankings throughout the entire list.  Green Goblin should have cracked the top ten and Catwoman should have been nowhere near 11.

Norman the swine Osborne, Sinestro, and Red Skull all belong in the top 10. He's conctrolling a lot in the Marvel Universe, marked the end of the silver age with his nefarious act of killing the beautiful Gwen Stacy, and is ugly, and deplorable as a real Goblin.

Galactus isn't even a vilalin

The Red Skull should be in the top ten.

That list is really not very good. They ignored the slightly more obscure, but infinitely better villains.

I guess even the IGNers are having a hard time with the top two. They are having a vote.

Joker and Doom should be number one.

I saw this list as well and Norman, Venom, and Doc Ock all need to be in it.  I liked the list until #20. 

Magneto? He isnt even a complete villian and even if he was their are better vllians out there

btw where is Vader? he still counts

Obviously Galactus shouldn't even be on the list, and Kingpin definitely shouldn't be in the top 10 (I'm critical of everyone between 9-7 actually too, but they're not as definitely unworthy of being within the top 10 as Kingpin). Personally I'm not going to touch on the top 3, as I think all three deserve to be there, and arguing who should top who is just needlessly pedantic... Based on what else I remember of the list, Apocalypse should've been higher, and Bullseye and Juggernaut should've been lower (Juggernaut would be lucky to be in the top 50 IMO... He definitely shouldn't be in the top 20).
