i have a question about superman...

hey everybody. I don't mean to be a pest but I have a question about superman:how strong is he really? I mean I just started reading comics a little while ago and I know he holds back. so I guess my question is how powerful is superman when he's not holding back? are there any comics where he stops holding back? thanks in advance everybody

he can "bench" earth... somehow. that would be his biggest cannon feat right now

Strong enough to bench press the weight of the world for five days straight in a weakened condition. His punches can send shockwaves to the Earth's core and out through the atmosphere. These are feats of the New 52 Superman.

but how strong is he using his full potential

It depends, he seems to vary in strength depending on who's writing.

As strong as the situation he's in requires him to be.

He's the strongest superhero of all.
