Yes 100%

I think Atreus has immense potential, I expect him to become uber powerful in God of War: Ragnarok.

Hi! Here's child Atrues recovering quickly from a serious punch from Baldur, who K.O'd the freaking World Serpent in 3 blows (who himself dueled Thor with such magnitude they were thrown back in time) and also scales above the entire Greek Pantheon.

Nevermind could draw blood from him in the final battle.

Atreus beats MCU Thor. Loki craps himself just watching.

He's already far superior to him.

Tanking a hit by Baldur kicks him even higher.

In other words:

@ghostodoofus2: Now imagine how powerful he will become once he learns Rune Magic, gets more scaling, etc.

Boi will become more powerful, if he discovers more of his own capabilities.

He appears to be more hax based than his dad.

@cryolancer47: That is also true, MCU Loki's magic seem very basic (mostly illusion castings). I think Thor will be Kratos's primary opponent as they are both more reliant on physical power, a grown and cunning Atreus with mastery over magic should be the true threat to Odin in the end, I don't believe Kratos can survive Odin without help from his son. It makes sense to me if Odin's defeat ends up being the result of him focusing too much on Kratos and overlooking the true threat to his reign that is Atreus/Loki.

That's actually an interesting take.

Odin, the King of Asgard, the All-Knowing All-Father. Got killed by a child, because he ignored every possibility and focused on what was just in front of him.

It would make his death even more ironic than Zeus’s.

@cryolancer47: Yeah I won't mind if they go in that direction but if they do want to stay true to Norse mythology and have Odin and Thor take Loki in as their son/brother, which would mean Kratos and his son must go their separate ways, I can accept it. I think Kratos is doomed to live a sad life.

Odin could see Loki as an asset to further solidify his reign and survive Ragnarok than a threat to eliminate.

@thewitchtime: We actually hear and see three heavy hits that rock the Serpent from inside. It's also possible that it was just rocked from the hits and could fight back at all. Regardless those are the only noticeable impacts that cause movement.
