Can Ser Arthur Dayne's pale sword kill Others (white walkers) ? It had shown nearly every similarities with Valyrian steel, except for the color...so can it ?

I believe it to be Lightbringer (in the books), so yes.

I don't believe that was Dawn in the gif.

It is, Dawn isn't a greatsword in the show.

@abelhsu: It is, it's confirmed in the S6 Histories and Lore.

@rogueshadow: Ah,thanks for the info. Off topic but I wonder that could Lightbringer be Longclaw ? I mean Jon can kill Dany with it,and perhaps the sword will turn in to a flaming one...

I personally see Dawn as a parallel to Anduril from LotR, Anduril meaning "flame of the West", Dawn being Flame of the East i.e. the rising sun. There are tons of parallels between Jon and Aragorn.

I actually think the reason Dawn isn't a Greatsword in the show might be because Kit Harington is 5'7" and couldn't feasibly wield a greatsword.

It's entirely possible I'm wrong though.

I think lightbringer is a person (Jon), not an actual weapon

A theory I see regularly is that Rhaegar was Azor Ahai and Jon is Lightbringer, being the third try after Aegon and Rhaenys, killing Nissa Nissa (Lyanna).

Yeah, that's the theory I most subscribe too. I also like the theory that the Nightswatch itself is Lightbringer

I think Lightbringer is not one specific sword but it's just whatever sword that Azor Ahai happens to wield.
