When you get the IG, you become omnipotent. Omniscience comes with the territory. But, Thanos is also known for spazzing out with omnipotence so, he most likely loses.

Thanos should win handily, not only was classic IG more powerful but that alternate Reed didn't have proper control over IG.

I think Thanos is the only one who can have complete mastery with the IG. I dont remember where I read that so dont quote me too hard on that.

@citizenbane:

Didn't he destroy his own universe by accident though? I feel like Thanos has more in-depth knowledge on how to operate the Infinity Gauntlet.

I find the last two conditions a little funny. The IG is so far beyond Mistress Death and all the rest of the Abstracts (excepting LT) that Thanos calling upon them would be pretty much useless anyway.

The Reeds did not impress me with their Gauntlets. I don't know if they had cheap knock-offs, or if they just didn't know how to use them (or, more likely, the author didn't know how to write them), but Thanos (and Nebula. And Warlock) seemed much more impressive in its use.

Reed wins because Thanos has a subconscious desire to lose.

Didn't really stop him from taking out Eternity. Or Mistress Death herself. Or a several other cosmic beings. Thanos doesn't usually sabotage himself until after he's already done a good job cleaning house.

Besides, does he even still have that character flaw? IG was a good while ago, and Starlin actually did have Thanos undergo quite a lot of character growth after that, particularly in Infinity War, Infinity Crusade, and his self-titled series. Also worth noting, in "The End," Thanos achieved supremacy yet again, and had no qualms using it to crush the whole Marvel U, Living Tribunal included. I think he's gotten over it.
