Thanos is attacking, NO prep, just because he can! Namor intercepts Thanos 5 miles from Atlantis. Thanos won't proceed 'til he gets through/past Namor...
aw man... you just asking for Namor to get Mollywhopped here... Thanos would crush his skull. The Mad Titan is way too strong for Namor... and Namor is not fast enough to really elude any of Thanos attacks.
Thanos w/out any power boosts is stronger than Hulk, a better fighter than Thor, as smart or smarter than Reed Richards and better with prep than Batman even with all Namor's power boosts here he simply isn't a threat to Thanos
What kind of power-ups does Namor get with the additional equipment?
Don't think it matters Odin and Tyrant had trouble keeping Thanos down, and at that time Odin had the spear of Gungnir...these are Skyfather/Abstract level beings and they couldn't kill him
Thanos is very versatile with magic, tech and cosmic energy attacks. Thanos has really powerful shields where Galactus had to strain himself to break them and Thanos reborn and weak was still a powerful enough telepath and while reborn zombified was still able to fight off an attack from Cosmo, Mantis and Moondragon
How can you like Namor (at least you have him in your avatar) and put him on this situation?? Thanos will open a sushi store with Namor's kingdom once he has stomped him.
I like the character, I think he's badass, but no, he can't do anything against the mad titan.
unfortunately man you underestimate Thanos... i can see why you thought that he would win but Thanos' character is just ridiculously strong. he fought odin and didn't get stomped... he humiliates the surfer on a regular basis and i'm willing to bet he could honestly beat galactus. i absolutely hate thanos but you must understand how powerfully he's written, and one other thing i've seemed to notice.. on this website, Thanos doesn't lose to anyone in a vs. thread.....

It would depend on too many varying factors such as:
What state is Galactus in?
Does Thanos have any items/artifacts/power-amping tools to assist him?
Does Thanos get prep?
Generally speaking, Galactus on any given day would be able to transmute Thanos into salt and hand him over to Lady Death herself for further punishment.

I believe that given the location, the prep, and the artifacts that Namor has he can fend off Thanos in a exclusively physical fight for a significant amount of time considering we're talking about Namor vs. Thanos. Namor wouldn't go down without a fight. But once you factor in Thanos' power cosmic and mystical abilities this is a stomp. I'd just like to clarify I understand that Thanos is much stronger and much more durable than Namor but under these conditions Namor could give him a decent fistfight.
I don't think this should be considered a spite thread. That would be if the OP deliberately gave one character absolutely no justification to even battle the other character in the first place. In this thread you have a severe underdog (Namor) vs. the odds on favorite (Thanos). But the OP gave Namor a homefield advantage as well as supplementary weapons to increase his stats dramatically, and allies to call upon for help. The OP did everything they could to boost Namor's power levels with items or situations that would pertain to his character and canon. The OP might be misinformed but they weren't trying to screw Namor over.

Thanos is above transmutation, but yeah, your pretty much right about everything there.
