Yes and no. She lied about using her true power. That being her Dragon Form, however Suzaku beat her human form fair and square. In fact, the new official translations for the Dogramag Arc that just came out arguably further make Selene's statement even more blatant now

So it just strengthens Abyss Suzaku>>>Serious Human Selene>>>Base Suzaku>>>Casual Human Selene

1. Suzaku never used Abyss against Ignia

2. Human Ignia being above Human Selene doesn't contradict anything.

Like for one even when he was caught off guard he could easily react to and block a punch from Selene

We also know that a Dragon God's "Human Form" doesn't necessarily have to equal their Dragon Form. There can be exceptions..the example being Aldoron's Head God Seed equaling his Dragon Form

And when they had an all out fight in their Dragon Forms...the moment he got bloodlusted he literally ONE SHOT her

People will try to argue she was "caught off guard" but she wasn't. He straight up just said I'm done playing around and fired a blast right in her face...from like a dozen feet away. If she fast or strong enough she would have reacted to it or tanked it but she is weaker

And in case you're wondering about the statements of Selene constantly saying "The Dragon Gods are equal though"

Ignia is obviously an exception as not only did he outright clap her, we know Ignia more than likely going to be the final boss of 100 YQ and thus stronger than the other Dragon Gods

Yeah,he oneshotted her and i agree if she had enough Dura she would not be oneshotted.As Sneakattacks dont lower your Dura.We also clearly saw that Ignia can tank her attacks far better as Selene can tank his attacks.

I dont buy that "DG´s are equal" since forever.It makes no sense at all

I disagree with him being the final villain.Its most likely some unknown being.And Viernes is still unknown

In terms of power? Not without using Dragon Force. And Suzaku was nerfed to an extent by the walls making it harder to use his sword skills to his full ability. Plus Natsu had to focus ALL of his power into defense into that moment else he would have died...in his own words...via using the Fire Dragon King Scales which while amping his AP is also mainly defense based

Her character truly is a freaking disappointment now given the constant retcons to her personality...but def not the worst character. Guys like Kain exist lmao
