Halo vs Dr. Doom

The U.N.S.C is invading Latveria after dr. Doom steals cortana while master chief is being retrofitted with a new suit following the events of halo 4.

The UNSC infinity is leading the assault but weapons of mass destruction are prohibited as they could destroy cortana.

Master chief is leading the ground assault of Spartans 3s and Spartans 4s and odst is dropping from the infinity.

Can they win and take cortana back or will dr doom hold out and win.

No outside influence in the fight from other parties

U.N.S.C. specifically because Master Chief's greatest asset in the Halo universe is his luck, and you cannot prepare against that.

John has the most incredible plot-shield luck known to mankind. He just can't really lose because something will intervene on his behalf. I mean he beat the freaking Ur-Didact. That just doesn't happen.

@namor_curry: to be fair that's because the didactic was freaking brain dead, he had plenty of chances to kill chief but just didn't.

Not sure they can get through his shields, giving the benefit of the doubt to chief though, as others have mentioned he's just ridiculously lucky. It's his trademark of the series.

@thedailybagel: But that's what I mean, he didn't. The Gravemind could've killed John too, but didn't. This isn't even including his luck-feats from the novels.

And the Ur Didact can solo entire armies.... I sures This doesn't make sense

The UNSC is too incompetent to be of any threat to Doom.

@zaied: how are they incompetent? They gave the covernant hell whilst being outnumbered, and drastically outgunned. Heck, a spartan alone can do just as much as an entire battlegroup if they're used properly.

UNSC easy

I'm not sure if Doom could literally solo an entire army quickly and with ease, but he could certainly pull it off over time and with a lot of effort. His intellect, magical prowess and extremely advanced armour and weapons would be enough to do so. However, if he has his usual army of Doombots it would be made substantially easier. While the UNSC is kept busy fighting an army, and unhelpfully for them not knowing which one the real Doom is, he could be casting all sorts of spells, hacking computer systems and simply blasting lasers all over the shop to ensure his win. I highly doubt anybody is getting through his shields, let alone his armour.
