Interesting. Reasons?
Michel Korvac has never been a threat at his level, unless we are talking about alternate reality version. Galactus has always been his superior by good margin actually.
Galactus average fed should have no problems dealing with Korvac.

Galactus
Korvac failed to hurt the Silver Surfer... no way he can take out Galactus.
...Is that recent? Because that's not how Korvac in the classic Korvac saga was portrayed at all. He was a threat to Eternity himself.

Wasn't Korvac recently demoted to an Avengers Academy baddie or something? That'd explain it.

Not sure if that was full power or not, but that was a long time ago, memory is fuzzy.
More recent versions I am sure are more powerful.
Galactus
Thats Korvac story immediately after Korvac Saga. I think the story was to show Korvac wasnt taking Surfer as much of a threat. The very next page Korvac turns Surfer into a core of a planet , Surfer is able to shatter that. But Surfer main object was to stop the Life Bomb, while Korvac was to prevent Surfer from doing so. The fight ends with both of them heading right into the Life Bomb and its declared stalemate.
The later story however retcons this a bit, because Korvac here is resurrected from the dead, while the very next Korvac story would go on to say Korvac never died, he simply transformed his body after seeing Galactus fire the Ultimate Nullifier.
The Avengers Academy one is fairly recent but his potrayal wasnt bad in that one either. He was weakened at the begining of the story, and he still took on a fairly huge number of heroes that were a collection of Avengers + New Avengers + Heroes for Hire etc. It was outright mentioned that all the heroes can do is delay him for few minutes and he actually rather easily defeat them, he actually one shots Thor, firing an energy blastthough Mjolnir.
He is later defeated by a made up weakness, anti-matter, and when Veil for odd reason was able to temporarily take control of his body. Karina Walters, who was explained as having identical power to Korvac but on a lower scale went around resurrecting people and manipulating reality to some extent.
He was also outright mentioned as Avenger's most powerful foe ever. So i dont think its necessarily a bad showing for Korvac, it just doesnt have a feat any better than you knew Korvac was always capable of.
