Who Wins?

Diaz gets ruined within seconds regardless if he's on the serum or not. He has no feats comparable to Mirakuru Slade.

Diaz can win if he doesn't have mikaru, if not hes as good as dead

Slade comfortably wins the first two rounds and stomps the third.

Out of curiosity, why do you have Diaz winning the first 2 rounds without his serum?

This is a joke, right guys? If Slade is on Mirakuru the only Arrow characters that could beat him in single combat are: Damien Darhk(with magic), Ragman, Ra's Al Ghul, or Ollie. Maybe Sara. There is no way that Diaz is winning any of these rounds. The only reason Diaz ever puts up a fight against Oliver is because he fights like a total loser, cheap shots, and Oliver is hindered in some way.

@the_hajduk: Off the top of my head: Was able to beat Oliver, Sara, and Diggle all at once when on Mirakuru. Oliver is literally a very fast and almost magical ninja in the first 2 seasons of arrow. He consistently went through 10-20 goons within the span of under a minute in several episodes of the first two seasons and Slade stomped him and a League of Assassins trained Sara at the same time. In season 6, he is also an impressive fighter without the Mirakuru(he's not more skilled than Ollie, though). When Slade was on Mirakuru, he claimed to be able to tank a bomb that was right in his hand. He took an Arrow to the eye and drifted without any kind of raft or boat through sea for at least a few hours and survived. Even when he was cured of the Mirakuru, Slade put up quite a fight against Ollie and almost matched him. I'll give you videos if you want to see.

It's simple really. R1 is essentially H2H and Diaz H2H credentials are much better then Slade's. Diaz has been H2H fighting his whole life on the streets. He told Oliver he lived in Hell. No assassin training, no swords and staffs and ninja weapons, no archery, just street fighting, his whole life, every day for survival. He told the mob son that he had to fight for every scrap of food he had growing up. This is all just fist fighting. His experience is off the charts and so is his talent, the fact that he has surpassed so many highly trained individuals without any actual training himself speaks to that.

He frankly did better against Thea. He did much better against Oliver then Slade would have today. All without any weapons, all H2H and sometimes a knife. Slade is known to make extensive use of many weapons, H2H is not his field as much as it is Diaz.

R2 again goes to Diaz given the extensive gun kata he has displayed. Another example of his adapted and self-taught fighting style, he combines melee and guns together like only Oliver does. Slade is a great, orthodox gunman. Diaz style is better.

R3 is the only close one and Ricardo might win still.

The guns and knives are going to be useless if Slade is on Mirakuru and has his armor though, right?

Because Slade doesn't have Mirakuru, and Diaz is a much better fight for current Oliver than Slade is.

I'd be inclined to back Slade all rounds, he definitely wins with Mirakuru

Without, a case could be made for Diaz, but tbh I never found him all that impressive. He's tough and brutal, but so is Slade, and Slade has actual training/accolades going for him. It's not perfect scaling (in part due to weapons differences/potential plot context), but Joe Wilson just did better against Diggle than Diaz did (both without and with the serum), and Slade took down Joe, so there's that to consider

Plus, Slade's just a way better villain than Diaz, so I'm a bit biased

Oh, Slade's not on Mirakuru for the first two rounds? Eh, still him over Diaz. Diaz is quite honestly not that impressive, but that's more the fault of the writers for making him seem impressive all off-screen while consistently putting him down on-screen. Diaz vs Oliver in season 6 was Oliver's fight until Diaz brought out a blade; Diaz vs Oliver in the finale of season 6 was about even, but then you remember Oliver was stalling until the flash drive finished, and then what happened? He put Diaz down with ease. Diaz with the serum in 7x08 whooped Oliver ruthlessly, so this is probably his best feat. I don't see why Slade can't match or surpass Diaz prior to the serum, especially with his tank armor.

@foxerdes: Iirc I don't think Diaz let Oliver get up. He threw him at the pillar and tried to kick him but Oliver dodged.

Slade should win all rounds fine.

Everything I know about Diaz leads me to believe he has no real chance against Slade on Mirakuru.
