Carol beat and matched plenty of people who are way more impressive than N52 Superman (and I'm not even talking about Thor). She wins comfortably.

She also doesn’t even beat Thor from what we’ve seen. She gets a couple good bull rushes and says that he’s calling the hammer too soon, sounding like she can’t handle Thor with his hammer. While I think unworthy Thor would still beat danvers, we don’t really have the context of the seen.

People should wait until this dark avenger arc is finished I highly doubt Thor just got decapped in canon in a random new Cap marvel issue theres more at work here than meets the eye.

@finalkingthanos: I don't think he got decapped or that he is even dead, i think that's a trick. But i do think he legit lost to Carol and she KO'd him, which is the main problem.
