which version of Pre-Flashpoint Post-Crisis Aquaman Water hand/bearer, Arthur, Orin, Arthur Jr, with magic trident, pre revelation that his father is Atlan, post ???

They all unless it's a specific "version" other than the norm I really haven't seen anything to distinguish them in feats. Strength, durability, and speed wise they seem perfectly even, though we haven't seen thw same level of TP from Nu52 (mind you I'm an issue or 2 behind) .

@beatboks1: Yikes. I knew continuity was bad, but I had no idea there were so many different flavors of Aquaman.

Um, I guess pick the one you feel would make for the most fair fight?

OK so No water hand, No trident (both give magic, teleportation, healing and water control - the trident also gives weather control, ability to cause earth quakes and immunity to magic), pre Atlan revelation ( as this makes him an inheritor to magic that he rejects but he has massively higher TP feats during this time).

Based on pre 52 having better TP feats I'd say he takes the win

I actually snagged the issue in which he loses his hand for like, $2.

personally i'd recommend all of Peter David's run. some great stories with Arthur in a much wider array of situations than under most. the title sort of went to $#!t after he left it. I also liked the Bronze Age appearances in Adventure when he'd lost the thrown of Atlantis and was living in New Venise.

spite match. pre-flashpoint stomps. both battles. and is cooler than either of the others in the bonus battle. how can u even try to pit the pathetic water-superman they're calling Aquaman against Orin lol
