    A Universe Away

    Highly Recommended!

I have A LOT of Fantastic Four catching up to do, but I did not have time to do it (just yet), so I thought I would jump in with this issue 600 and take it from there. I do plan on going back and reading 500-588, probably within the coming month.

That said, I really thought this issue was well suited fro long time Fantastic Four fans and new readers alike. A warning to new readers - you will want to get a foundation on the Fantastic Four, their relationship to the Marvel Universe and their powers before reading this cold. Either way, I believe this issue will be enjoyable with a bit of background and an open mind.

We get the resolution of the year long Fantastic Four hiatus cliffhanger in this issue, with "Whatever Happened to Johnny Storm"; as well as update of what is going on in the Marvel Universe, with "Forever - Part 1"... In fact, at first you may think this is some kind of Skrull / Kree War combined with Annihilation, and you wouldn't far off. A lot has changed in the universe since Annihilation, but much remains the same. Universal domination, Bugs, and a banding together of Super-Heroes to save the day.

Along with these two main stories, you also get three more supporting stories: "Black Queen", "The Arc", and "Remember". Overall the Art was great, and the writing fantastic - it definitely lived up to its namesake.

This is an action and drama packed issue that is sure to please the masses. If you haven't already picked this up, it comes highly recommended. Get your questions answered and your eyes opened to a new reality - a reality where death is just the beginning of a never-ending loop, in a universe continually attacked by those who want to send everyone through the spin cycle.

Huge, awesome, worth every penny (or cent) 0

I managed to avoid spoilers for this issue and didn't even look for preview pages, and the wait was definitely worth it. 28 pages of Hickman & Epting and a truly awesome 48 pages of Hickman & Giandomenico combine for a science heavy, emotional, action-packed, trippy, quality journey that is well worth the money, even before the additional 3 short stories at the end. And those are NOT just filler material. With a story and comic as long as this one there is a danger that a writer will los...

There's a movie quote that'd be spoilerific to use here 0

So Fantastic Four is back! (At least for a few issues) Great! This book starts off by advancing the main story for the first bit of the issue. We're talking about the story that has been going on since Hickman started his F4 run and which continued through the FF. We get some pretty good movement there although it's MOSTLY just stalling for either FF #12 or F4 #601. We then get the bulk of the issue which is the HUGE REVEAL. And you can probably guess what that is. Then we get 3 more mini storie...
