    Deadpool & Cable Return in a One-Shot

We all know Cable was Deadpool's best friend, so how does he deal with his death? The only way he knows how, with lots of violence.

    The Good

For those that can't get enough Deadpool action, Deadpool & Cable #26, a one-shot, is out to bring closure over the fact that Cable is dead. Deadpool goes to the one place he feels he can truly honor his fallen buddy, Rumekistan. There is lots of Deadpool shenanigans as he gets into a mess the only way he can.

    The Bad

It's one more Deadpool comic and unfortunately it doesn't deliver anything crucial. Yes, it's a Deadpool comic and there shouldn't be any expectations of a story of epic proportions. The timing feels off since Cable's been gone for a while now. The laughs were few and far between. I wanted to enjoy it out of nostalgia for the past Cable and Deadpool series.

    The Verdict

I might have had too high of expectations for this. We have so many different Deadpool comics these days and some are good while others aren't. Bringing back the notion of Deadpool and Cable was a nice idea but it doesn't seem to work here. Even if Cable is dead, I wanted more of an adventure and/or enemy for Deadpool to deal with. Deadpool stories don't always have an impact on his history but to me, this really felt like one I could have passed on. I did enjoy Deadpool's outfit at the end of the issue.
