Will Superman/Wonder Women ever return as a comic book to those whom read it?

I read Superman/Wonder Women for a long time and who else wants this comic back.

I mean in many worlds they still exist as a couple if indeed the multiverse is true for each universe answers the age old question of what if.

What if Superman and Wonder Women remained a couple.

Who universes pop into existence on even less important problems.

Like what if Superman was a midget....

Just asking the quest because it was going really good in the sales.

It was the worst selling of the Superman books, and the relationship added nothing to their characters. In other Superman books, it was nonexistent, while in the Finches', it was used as a crutch and an excuse to stuff in guest appearances.

Wow, you pretty much summed up a lot of people's opinions on this. To OP, what exactly is the point of your questions? "What if?"s like the ones Marvel makes? DC has some, they're Elseworlds, and not really rooting for the SM/WW relationship to return.

From what i seen its pretty good and the sales were also great. The board has over 300 thousand views meaning yes it was a wanted book. What they did wrong is the same thing they always do wrong when they write these guys as a couple. They fail to try and it turns off fans of dc comics. If you try and it fails it is one thing but if you do not put effort into something so many see this as a fail on the part of the industry and as a whole. So why buy any other books if they refuse to try on the books you like. So no story is safe if they do not put true effort into the story and all you get is some half baked story idea with no true character. So some whom do not like the idea still have all the books they read but one more does nothing to them they simply do not have to read it. Yet over 300 thousand people viewed the post about the couple meaning that some did indeed like the idea and just wish they would do the story the couple a good service by writing a good story and not making Superman into somebody he is not a huge jerk and Wonder Women somebody she is not a failure at relationships. Then when you do these things you no longer insult fans and you say you did your best you wrote a great story and the fans can decide from that point on where to go. But till that happens they did not try and fans seen that and they ended up losing more fans then making fans happy in the long run they said. We simply do not care what people want to read about we just want to put out comics.

They put "effort" into it by making it a placeholder for a Superman crossover every five issues. And the relationship itself on inhibited what the writers of their respective solo books could do in terms of love interests and supporting casts.

I for one think it was a breath of fresh air in a stale industry.... But they could have put more effort into it and not rushed it. The idea was a grand one but the effort some what failed. Given a proper writer it would have done great things or wondrous things in a super way. Yet that goes for any task they under take. The main problem with a hero these days is they lack hero ways. The people they are saving come first the take of stepping up to the plate comes first because if you make it all about the hero. You will always fail the hero cannot be larger then the problem they try to solve. It always has to loom larger then life to bring the people up tot he task of helping themselves. That has to be first and for most that is why they wear a mask that is why they never stay around to take credit and why book sales have dropped.

It had potential, but DC bungled it so badly that it seemed pointless. I don't think Johns or most of the editors were fans of the idea; that's why it was just there, but DC never did anything interesting with it. DC could have really explored the results of their relationship to each other and how the rest of the world dealt with the two strongest beings on Earth in a relationship. When it started, I was excited to see what interesting things they would do with it, but alas other than the actual fact that they were a couple, there was nothing of note.

I feel like DC won't go that route again (and even if they do, it won't be for a very long time) based on how they dealt with the relationship post-rebirth: Diana claiming she never loved Clark, DC trying to make it seem like new52 Clark and Lois were soulmates or something, never having Diana mourn or seem like it even bothered her he was dead, and practically no one in-universe acknowledging their relationship existed.

And since DC doesn't seem interested in publishing Elsewords type books anymore, that avenue is closed.

Nope. Diana + Bruce or NOTHING! NOTHING IS TELL YOU!

Seriously, there seems to be so many more stories to tell about the dichotomy of those two than Diana and Clark having sex on the moon again. I mean come on...

I used to read the superman books but they got to the point that they never had a constant direction. Just stories that had no focus. Superman/Wonder Women was a good direction even if it was a side book in another universe it had good stories. Its all about the writer about the art about the fans. You can make a great story or you can not try waste peoples time and money and then when all is said and done cry about why fans no longer trust writers. Good stories will always have fans wanting more. Bad stories and half tries with little to no effort scares readers away even from the core books.

Oh god, no. Never in the main universe. It didn't work in anyway and had to be completely retconed out of continuity. DC wouldn't be stupid enough to give it an another shot.

No thanks. That crap shouldn't even have existed in the first place. Let it stay buried forever.
