    This series soars to new heights

    I really enjoyed the series and saw the potential in the series. Rules of Engagement was a really good story, but Lovers and Madmen looks like it will be even better. Bruce has been Batman for 42 weeks and crime has steadily declined to where the streets are much safer. He has figured out how the criminals work and has worked out a formula for beating them. Crime has become predictable and now Batman looks like he can finally be at ease. That is until a new criminal emerges and is completely unpredictable. This villain is Jack and Im guessing you know who Im talking about. He seems to have a slightly different origin like he should. It looks to be setting these characters as the opposites they truly are. I cant wait to see where this goes. It looks like another great origin for the Joker and another great story for Batman.

      My first review-wow, I gotta admit, I'm kind of nervous.  I feel like Kevin Smith right before the "Clerks" release; if I fuck up my first there's really no where to go from here.  I'll give it my best shot.  Here goes; I was kind of apprehensive about reading this book.  I'm not a huge fan of giving the Joker a backstory in general (Moore's "The Killing Joke" is an exception, but that's just cuz it's Alan freaking Moore), and when I heard that this book went even more in depth with who the Joke...

      This one is much deeper & rather than having some unknown mystery person with little background becoming the Joker with a personality that seemed to suddenly spring from his chemical-induced madness, we see a man who already bares traits of the Joker's essential personality traits. The last page is also quite funny.I never did like the Jack Napier (Jackenape) or Joseph Kerr (Joker) names...too campy, & Edward Nigma (enigma) is pretty bad too.The most notable change is that this is also a...
