Still can't find that missing piece
What's good?
I actually have to thank Corwell's set up for the last issue. Characterization played a role with Absence's origin and characterization plays another role with this issue. The hole in the head didn't make Absence insane, but devious. She manages to take down the dynamic duo and put them in a life or death situation. But the question is why is she doing this besides getting Bruce to notice her? It kind of hit me like a ton of bricks on what Absence has done to both Bruce and the dynamic duo. It's like poetic justice.
The artwork is slightly better than the last issues. It still got that cartoony look somewhat, but it's not that bad.
What's bad?
I don't know, the set up just didn't seem right. It feels rushed. Absence on paper does seem like a unique villain for Batman and Robin, but I'm still mixed on if I would like to see her in the future.
Overall: What started out very slow ended in a somewhat interesting twist at the end of this story.
