The newest trailer for "Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen" has rolled our way.  It looks like Bay is bringing out the "boom."  It's hard to say how this will be.  It looks shiny with lots of explosions.  That could be good.  But is that just on the surface?  With a movie like this, we can't expect a work of art.  It does look like it'll be entertaining.  I had low expectations for the first and was pleasantly surprised when I actually saw it.  Was it perfect?  Nope.  Was it a fun movie?  Yeah.  I think this movie can achieve that again.  Now that things are set up, perhaps it'll be even better.

Why do so many blockbusters these days need to add a layer of pretentious mystery to their plots?  Is it a reaction to the Da Vinci Code or something?  Can't we just have an even bigger, more badass war between the two factions without the layers of pseudo-archeaology and historical conspiracy?  I don't want to watch a Transformers trailer and find myself thinking of Angels & Demons or National Treasure, but that's exactly what the first half of this trailer made me think of. 

As for the overall movie, meh.  It looks to be about the same as the last one: mediocre story filled with huge over-the-top special effects setpieces.  Do we have a right to expect more?  I'm not sure.

This is basically the film crammed into 2 minutes. I prefer the shorter trailers in which the audience is just teased but does not give the plot away.

Hm. I'm still hoping this to be a robot version of Grand Theft America: Being the Axis of evil a bunch of whacko robots (decepticons), being their leader The Fallen. And, for the good guys, a more bad-ass, drill-sergeant-ish Optimus Prime. I totally loved his attitude in the first movie.

You know I think it will be an awesome movie. I definitely think it will be just as good as the first if not a little better. That being said, even if it is horrible it still has Megan Fox in it sooooo I'm gonna see it regardless. 

I'm not a huge Transformers fan, and I didn't exactly see the excitement of the last film, while I did enjoy it. But I really can't get a bead from just this trailer. I'll more than likely get pulled by my friends to see it, but time will tell.

Sam's mom remains my favorite member of the human cast.

Megan Fox looked hot on the bike and Megatron swimming up out of the water was badass

I just hope it has the same humour as the first movie as it was pretty hilarious.

     I simply can't wait for this. It was already my most-anticipated movie of 2009 and that trailer just multiplied my excitement by a thousand.

Megatron, Blackout, Scorponok and Barricade are the ones i know coming back. Blackout, Megatron, and Scorponok were in the last 2 trailers.

So they sent the dead Decepticons to the bottom of the ocean to get crushed and they come back? Hmm, unless there's some All-Spark related reason for that, I ain't buyin it.

And I guess I'm one of the few people who wasn't totally amazed by the first one... It was OK, but that was it.

And my biggest issue was while the movie had quite a few big fight scenes, the way the camera moved and the way the Transformers looked... It was hard to tell who was who. Maybe that was just cause I saw it for the first time on the small screen instead of the movies, but I didn't like that...

My expectations of the first movie where rather low so I was completely blown away. I actually totally forgot about this one until I was in the comic shop and saw the poster :) I think it'll be a good movie, but I am not looking for anything great, again rather keep my expectations low then get all pumped to see it then get disappointed. There are only three movies coming out that I am super pumped for and that's Iron Man 2, Captain America, and the Avengers. I guess you can throw in Green Lantern.

This makes it look as if the plot is exactly the same as the last: LeBouf has something the Decepticons want, violence ensues. That's all it looks like from this, It still has awesome character designs.

I'm guessing they're gonna kill off Optimus in this one, since the old movie did the same thing.

As for the first movie, I enjoyed it.
