Watch the Live Action Short Based on the ENORMOUS Graphic Novel

The giant monsters from Tim Daniel's comic are back--in live action.

Back in 2012, Image released ENORMOUS written by Tim Daniel with art by Mehdi Cheggour. The graphic novel told the story of a post-apocalyptic world in which humans are at the bottom of the food chain. Huge beasts now roam the world. It's up to mankind to try to survive and avoid extinction.

The creative minds of Director BenDavid Grabinski (short film Cost of Living), Writer Andre Ovredal (Trollhunter), Producer Adrian Askarieh (Hit Man, Agent 47), along with Joshua Wexler and his Pure Imagination Studios, have taken Enormous from the page to the screen in an all-new live-action short film that launched TODAY on Machinima Prime.

The film picks up years after E Day, the worldwide attack of massive insect like beasts, as the remaining humans from all walks of life must band together to survive and fight back against the monstrous invaders. Viewers are introduced to Ellen (Ceren Lee), a mother who has lost her child, and watch as she prepares to play a major role in the human resistance. The cast also includes Steve Braun (Wrong Turn 2), and Erica Gimpel (Veronica Mars).

What did you think? Have you read ENORMOUS?

That was pretty cool. My only problem with it is that there's no way a creature that size would be able to sneak up on people. Each footstep would be like a mini earthquake :)
