Punisher Meets Black Widow in a Cross-Over This August

Really enjoying the current series of Punisher - nice to see a change of scenery and he kicks ass no matter where he lands. I will be interested to see how this plays out.

These might be by two current favorite ongoing series out there, I am so excited for this, wish it was more than a 2 parter.

I've just relieved they don't have Natasha wrapped around Frank, winning at tonsil hockey. Better keep it that way.

@thewalkingdeadpool18: haah where did you see may saying that about everything other than DC. Only crap on Agents of Shield. ANd I'm liking more comic Fromm Marvel than DC. The only few DC comics Im really enjoying right now are Green Arrow, Swap thing, and maybe Batgirl.

Two of the best ongoing titles out crossing over? Smart. But why is this news Marvel character crossover all the time. Also what's with the all of sudden these two as like partners or a relationship or whatever push? They got a movie dedicated to eachother which is weird that's something you would expect for like Iron Man and Cap or even Black Widow and Hawkeye but Black Widow and Punisher?

I personally love the skull mask on Frank. Seems very tactical/black ops of him. I like to see characters change up their look and the way they do things sometimes. It keeps them fresh.

Looking forward to this, I wonder what the third title will be. A crossbones one?

@dagmar_merrill: Right now the only difference between the Black Widow book and the Punisher book is the sex of the main character.

Normally I despise crossovers, but since I'm already reading and enjoying both of these books and they are both written by Edmondson, then bring it on. Also, I love Crossbones and he'll make a great enemy for these two. What ever happened to Sin? Add her to the mix and it'd be perfect.

No, I think it would just mean that this would mean that this would cross over with other books more often which isn't what I want. I do really love Black Widow so far though.

I just don't like the Punisher.. not for me.

@jonny_anonymous: LOVING The Punisher. I've heard some people are kinda meh on it but I think its great. Great first arc and surprising first foe but it works. I think its an awesome representation of how a 616 Punisher should be.

That is the case, Edmondson said so in the CBR interview but dude even if it wasn't you would really drop a book because one issue happens to crossover with another book? Also whats wrong with the Punisher?

@jonny_anonymous: I sure hope so, because I don't want to pick up Punisher and if that wasn't the case I would drop Black Widow.

@jonny_anonymous: A team-up, maybe? Or what if it was a third ongoing penned by Edmondson. Maybe Winter Soldier, because he'd probably play out like a mix of Black Widow and Punisher.

Been hearing great stuff from both titles. Can't wait to pick them up on trade. Would have been more excited if this was made into a 4 or even 6 part crossover. Rather than just 2 issues. But oh well. I just too used to these big event story arcs. Perhaps it's best to have it short and sweet.

@dagmar_merrill: You don't need to read both issues because it tells the same event's from different perspectives. But you should be Reading Pun 'coz it's great.

Kind of sucks that I don't read Punisher but read Black Widow..

@captainmarvel4ever: Ehh, it was ok. I'm not a huge fan of any of Madhouse's previous Marvel animated films, although I feel like this was the best one. Poor voiceovers, weird pacing, and shoehorned cameos kind of made it hard to get through. Unless you're a huge fanboy for either character I'd probably pass on it.

I really enjoyed the Blu Ray and enjoy the Widow Comic series right now so this could be cool.

Actually, I've heard it is a legit terror tactic used by special police and military teams. Also, it allows teams to both remain faceless, and hide their true numbers, since when everyone looks alike, it's hard to keep count of them.

Cool but Edmondson hasn't really blown me away with either of these titles so far. They are...average. IMO
