Havn't seen her in comics for a while. Last time I saw her next to Darkness.

Btw, Is Darkness comic still around? Whats happening in that universe?

The Darkness got cancelled, Jackie Estocado got killed off in the most lackluster way possible in a filler issue of Witchblade, Witchblade is getting cancelled before the end of the year, and basically Top Cow Productions is collapsing in on itself and putting all its hopes in a revamped Aphrodite IX franchise that isn't really taking off...

And all this Top Cow talk is kinda on topic since Randy Green was also briefly the artist of Lara Croft's old Top Cow series:

I'll be picking this one up for sure, I still remember loading up Tomb Raider on Sega Saturn for the first time, by today's standards it would look awful but back then I was impressed plenty, and the gameplay was top notch, camera issues aside.

@lagozzino: Man,I wish they would use Magdalena more,I'm saddened that Witchblade is being cancelled, but I dropped it when Ron Marz returned.I don't like his take on Sara and I hate Gleason. This Lara Croft looks good.I can't stand the young inexperienced version.I like my Lara a veteran.

I just dont get why people liked the TR reboot? I found it to be boring, I finished it thanksgiving week in 2013. & there wasnt any thing Tomb Raidery, just a rescue plot with some sucky supernatural elements that felt like they were tacked on when they decided to rebrand the game as Tomb Raider. & what the F is up with the bow & arrows, Lara uses GUNS. Legend of Osiris was a much better game, wish they were like it more. Proper costume, proper weapon, I was even able to overlook her lack of boobs.

As for TopCow, thats what happens when you do some BS universe reboot story. Good job there. DC can pull off new52s & marvel their WTF collisions crap, but that because they are too big to fail. Also, Witchblade, Magdalena, Angelus, & Lara herself, they are from a different era, one with big boobs & little clothing, & for some reason its now sexist. They are all "bad girls" but that wont work anymore.

I think the problem is more specifically that the content of the books had more-or-less moved on from the "bad girl" thing for the better part of a decade, but Top Cow continued to advertise them as if they were. So often the cover of an issue of Witchblade would have her half-naked and bending over or something, but the actual issue would be a completely serious police drama where not a single bit of skin was shown. To keep it semi-on topic, the same could be said about the old Tomb Raider series; Cheesecake Adam Hughes covers (which are gorgeous, don't get me wrong), masking totally serious adventure stories.

So you take Top Cow's gratuitous T&A public image that scares away a more mainstream audience, add story content that doesn't interest the T&A crowd, toss in a very poorly thought out line-wide crossover that made it almost impossible to follow a series without following other "Artifacts"-related books, and you get a failing line of comics. Its a real shame too...

There was supposed to be a new Magdalena ongoing coming out this year, and they even published a little prequel to it in the last issue of Artifacts, but now the year is almost up, there's no news about it, and the company is sorta abandoning their shared universe aside from stuff set in Aphrodite IX's far future. But who knows, maybe there'll be a last minute solicitation...

I liked it, but then again I really loved Uncharted. I also liked Gail Simone's first two Dark Horse volumes that follow the reboot.

The new Tomb Raider may be better than the old games but the old Lara was a way better character. She was a more badass version of Abbey Chase.

It seems to me top cow has redefined their direction with Matt Hawkins writing almost 80% of everything, and he does seem not to be into big universes... he is kinda more interested in modern day topics, like military technology (Think Tank), Society (Postal), science (Wildfire) and religious stuff (Tithe).
He is a really good author and the new direction is sad for the loyal following BUT the Aphrodite IX and Generation IX series is great, and the top cow universe will be rebooted AGAIN with Switch by Sejic who is writing the amazing Sunstone and Death Vigil.

So I do not think Top Cow is collapsing on itself... it rather outgrows its past direction and moves to other stuff. (Even further away from the unjustly called T&A days). Those who actually READ Witchblade and Darkness will HAVE to agree, that the amount of T&A over a period of 20 years was not that big to justify that reputation.

I also heard about that.I really think they made a mistake by killing of Jackie Estacado, there was no need for that.I also think it was a mistake to give Ron Marz back Witchblade after he had such a lengthy run.I been meaning to read Aphrodite but I'm not sure it's worth it anymore. At least Al Simmons is back.
