As someone who never liked Orion, I can't wait to see Hera make him her bitch! No rage here at all.

Which is why I stopped reading at like issue #17. This arc was old after #10 issues. Im glad WW is gaining popularity, but I dont understand the positivity around Azz's run.

@dagmar_merrill: no but the team that made it so great is leaving. And being replaced by a team that will apparently focus on Diana's interactions with the rest if the superhero community which is kinda stupid if you ask me. We have Justice League and Superman/Wonder Woman for stories like that. Batman and Superman have multiple books where they get to do they're own thing to be Heroes on their own, why can't Wonder Woman?

@superguy1591: Like I give a crap about Orion though I kind of like him. Actually I was afraid he'd save Wonder Woman again because I've had my fill of that, I think twice was one too many.

I think for the next Wonder Woman arc or perhaps a future Wonder Woman story arc. We should see the return of Hercules and he should go on a giant rampage against the Gods. Especially Hera given the madness she cursed upon him, that caused the Son of Zeus too murder his wife and children.

Though that may be kind of hard, because the Hercules introduced in Aquaman is little more than a brute. Seriously he's more like Goliath from David and Goliath than Hercules!!

I think all solo books should cater to the tone of that individual character. Batman solo should be dark and crime oriented. Superman solo should be MASSIVELY epic sci fi stories. Flash should be fantastical and science based. And Wonder Woman should be EXACTLY as it has been. Wonder Woman's story is a fantasy based, mythological story, not a super hero one, in my opinion.

@archizoom: I know, looks like Hera told him to sit down and shut up though. Doesn't look like he'll be playing hero to her.

I prefer long stories honestly.

LOL,you have to admit it was rather unnecessary,Orion isnt a part of WW mythos,he's a guest character and those should be treated with more respect. Either way I've become rather used to the New Gods being butchered to prop inferior characters,no biggie here.

that was due to Apollo mistakenly blasting Supes thus empowering him a lot. the b!&%$ slapping was right before that, it was a very memorable panel,even featured in best battles once.

It's fair game. Like how many times have we seen New Gods appear and stomp all over everything that doesn't have a Super S on it's chest? Byrne started his run off with Darkseid killing half the Amazons, Olympus has been overrun by him 2 or 3 times, so why is it not fine when the WW book kicks back?

I'll bite. As someone who thought Orion was and could be a very good character Azzarello has made him into a dick fratboy to garner laughs and to make the ladies look good? Not sure. But this character is supposed to have been around a while, meaning he's supposed to have some level of maturity and expoerince...he's just a idiot here. I'm sorry for the Orion and New Gods fans because he does not even fit nor belong in this mythos as we have seen he's just shoe horned to act like a sexist so WW can teach him how to behave and if he was swapped for some other random demi god or God one would not really miss him. So far of all the New Gods introduced in the new 52. Orion is the worst written.

The way WW kicks back is in a very cliched cheap way. Not even in a good way and Orion has made other appearances but he's never really been made to be such a little bitch before. He even was written better under Lobdell when he faced Superman. Darkseid is capable of crushing the Universe so it's not like if that is made up is it? Maybe tyou'd like it when someone takes your favorite female character and just randomly write her as a bitch or man eater so someone else can teach her a lesson.

1. Have you tried reading Morrisons JLA by any chance? Especially the Adam Strange story?
2. Where he just mindlessly threw a ship at Superman because he's a danger? Right...
3. Actually it is. Darkseid only ever came that close to destroying the universe when his corpse made a hole in creation after Death of the New Gods.
4. I have Geoff Johns writing Diana as such, so pardon me if I dont care about Orion actually having a personality for once.

@johnqestion: New Gods are douchebags, it's not Azzerello's doing. Orion has always been a hot head tool, not the N52's doing.

The Adam Strange story was written by Waid not Morrison,and as usual he has no clue how to write them either which seems to be rather consistent trait among Superman writers.

Darkseid has always been above the pay grade of other pantheons,even Jobberseid see Countdown.

Common misconception,they are only douche bags when they are used to prop other characters.

It's not fair game at all,and you know it. The New Gods have always operated at a higher level of power than the other gods in the DC universe,Darkseid owning the Amazons isn't disrespectful at the slightest.

Here Orion is just annoying now,I liked him initially but I would have thought he'd have matured by now or something,but no it's the same thing over and over.Now people are calling him sexist,seriously WTF,his character doesn't need that stigma attached to him.

It would be fair game if Darkseid made WW his slave.

This was a great preview and I'm looking forward to next Wednesday. Wonder Woman bound and Hera taking charge.

If only DC took the time to create a new52 New-Goddess of war that could have been in Orion's role, but no, the whole point of WW & PG is to harp on the fact that there are some people in the world that are sexist or racist, so therefore that means every one is. It could have been an opurtunity to have a really cool fight between Hera-Orion where both learn to respect the other. But no, we just get a femnazi moment, which in reality, just kills any point of a subplot of the two. Orion becomes a sexist pig, but Hera doesnt look much better, because of the hack writing. Its really just filler to help pad another issue.

Also, for people newer to DC as a whole, they might think NG-Orion is the Greek Orion, so you also just get brand confusion. All so you can have a "sexist" female empowering moment.

My main complaint. This art is horrible. I dont know when this current run started, but I sure would NOT waste $100 on a line with that crap.
