Could A Namor Movie Be Coming Soon?

But htis makes me think......How come the Aquaman movie hasn't gone this far with its own page.

I think it's fake, but I would love a Namor movie!

No word of him as an Invader in the Captain America film, so I guess a solo flick is possible.
Instead of him having bird-wings on his feet, they could be golden sandals that grant him flight.
 

They have been trying to do this movie forever and I think it comes down to the budget being extremely high to bring this underwater world to life. I think at one point the idea was to make the entire movie look and feel like it was underwater and showing how Namor entered the surface world and helped in WWII. It is a possibility that Universal doesn't want to front the bill and Disney may have got the license back. Disney has the ability to do a picture like this especially with their own effects and etc.

I do agree, G-Man, including Namor anywhere, especially with The Invaders as he should be, would be great. 

I have NO doubts that it's real. I'm not a fan of Namor. But this would DEFFINATELY be kewls. :P 
 

Out of all the odd characters people are deciding to do movies based off of, THIS one i wouldnt mind. The origin is great, the scenery would be great..mayb a little challenging, and the action I KNOW would be great. But im trying to think of an actor that could play his asian/russian look...any idea's?

A Namor movie could turn out great if done right, it's just that no one will listen...

Shenanigans! Simply because there is one dead giveaway...The little Paramount logo in the corner. I'm pretty sure the new owners over at Disney would have a BIG problem with another studio making and distributing a movie that they own the characters to. Athough in this case it MAY be FOX that actually owns the character due to his history with the FF (think they picked up the rights when they got the FF franchise). Either way, I'm pretty sure while this is a good logo and a interesting idea, that its a fan piece. Plus...Facebook? Is that really a reliable place for a news item potential this big?

No desire to see anything about Namor, get more female heroes out there.

XD babs is probally thrilled about this... Have you told her yet G-man? XD.  I wouldn't mind seeing this even though i'm not a huge fan.

I would also love to see Jason Behr have the role for Namor. That would be perfect. 
 
I too would also rather see an Aquaman movie..... and it is okay if Babs hunts me down ;). 

I hope not because I feel like Marvel needs to slow down with the movies. 

Like  Nateabusa I wonder whether Marvel CAN make this movie. I'm not sure whether the Namor came with the Fantastic 4 package, but Fox also owns the rights to the X-Men and all related characters, and I'm not sure how far that extends. If it includes all Mutants we probably won't be seeing Namor.

If I had to guess about who would play NAMOR: MICHAEL PHELPS.
 

Really? Whats the big deal about him? I know nothing about him. His story Is not interesting to me. Only once I've thought he was cool and that's when he stood up to Osborn when Osborn gave him a order. Other than that hes just as useless as Aquaman

I actually read an interview from CBM with Joe Johnston saying that Namor will be in Captain America and without wings.

I'd rather have an Aquaman movie.

I don't like Namor... His eyebrows weird me out : P 

I keep hearing Stan drop this name in interviews so I never doubted it was always
on the table (he brings up a SHIELD movie even more, i'm surprised i never here talk
of it, considering the Nick Fury reinforcement in all the films). I want it. For one the idea
of Atlantis on film appeals to me. Also while i'm not outright saying i don't like the spread
of titles they already use, i want to see more unused properties tapped for good or ill, rather
than more reboots and sequels of films that already did their job.

As much as I would like it to be so, I doubt the poster is real.  However, I do think a Namor movie is a possibility.  There is just so much potential with the character for a unique comic book movie.  Many people see the underwater aspect as a negative, but I think that's what sets the movie apart from the rest of the genre.  Granted, it would take a director of great vision to create that world... And either a large budget ... or perhaps something animated.

I'd love it!
