300 is astounding. The visual style of it is really cool and it is pretty much the first "direct comic book adaption" movie so far. Watchmen of course, was the second.
300 is great but due to the fact that they're using a 5 issue story and put it into a full length movie, they had to add that whole thing about the Queen back at Sparta and stuff. But I can't argue. Those parts were entertaining and kind of cool. I guess my only concern was that the actual story wasn't very long. But that's not the movie's fault, that's Frank Miller's fault. Oh well.
Watchmen was also great too, I loved that. Both of those two movies were wonderful. 300 and Watchmen, what a pair!
