    Hope 0

Let me start off by saying I'm still catching up on my X-Men series because I've long been out of their game.  However I've been catching up and this issue starts off a very promising arc.   Cable and Hope arrive at the now abandoned ruins of the Xavier Institute and are soon welcomed by attackers that have armor with smiles on the heads (is that something that has been around before?) Back at Utopia, Scott is having a meeting with the major players in the X-Men, giving out assignments.  When he...

    181??? huh 2

Second Coming looks to be a great story so far.   Anticipation was certainly built up long enough.   We were given an onslaught of preview images for speculation.   You all know the ones I’m talking about:  “One will lead.” “One will die.” “One will rise.” “One will sacrifice.” “ALL WILL UNITE.” The story is good so far.   Hope and Cable show up.   They find that it is the real time but that the X-mansion was destroyed.   Then they get introduced to some of the bad things that have developed w...

X is for xtremely boring. 0

For a storyline that has been building for years this was a pretty lack luster start. In fact it was pretty formulaic and uneventful. Is it just me or are the X-Men becoming really boring? Lately every treads the same old ground and feels like the same recycled, regurgitated crap. Do you want to see how routine this commodity has become? Here, check it out. In this issue Cable jumps through time into our present with the mutant Hope, the first mutant born since M-Day. Cable? Jumping throug...

    Good Solid Start 2

Alright, this issue was a good solid start. Written by Yost and Kyle, so good there. Has plenty of action in the issue to keep the reader interested. Start off with showing the ruins of the X-Mansion through time which was a good start IMHO.Gives you a feel of the X-Men  The Good Good Action sequences Excellent Art Character feel like them(Magik/Pixie quips are good examples) Feel the dire situation Understand the stress Cyke is under  The Bad Was missing something in the art and writing to give...

    A good opening 3

I have to say that this possible beats the Utopia opening for me, i just loved the way the story begins to unravel from her on out.  I'm going to give this book a 4.5/5    The art  The art in this book is just fantastic which is what we expect when we hear the name David Finch.  Everything here looks amazing, from the characters themselves down to the detail in every panel.  I like how every thing seems to flow in Finches art, even moving from scene to scene the transition isn't confusing or for...
