The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Art by Nicola Scott on the cover is beautiful. Happy to hear this.So what next after Batman '66 and Wonder Woman '77 ? Superman '52 , The Flash '90 or Shazam '77 ?
I'm not a big fan of Andreyko, he made me quit reading Batwoman. I don't mind this campy stuff so long as it's unabashedly campy and flat-out silly as opposed to trying-not-to-be.
Maybe there will be a Batman 66 crossover in which they introduce Reeve's Superman. Their campy tone would blend well together. Maybe there will even be a Campy JL book :P

I can't wait for this comic. Lynda Carter was my introduction to super-heroes. I just hope they capture the spirit of the original. It's so nice to have four comics featuring Wonder Woman - she might finally be getting her due.

Well Wonder Woman actually started in '75. The show jumped to the modern era (of the 70's) in '77 so that may be why they went with that year instead though. Adventures of Superman started in '52 but in '54 the show switched to color and started to take on a lighter tone. If they did make a Superman comic of this type they may just bump it up another year to '55 just to keep with the number theme.
I'm planning on going digital on this. I plan on getting all TV series comics (Smallville, Batman 66, Arrow and Flash). I actually really enjoyed Batman 66 and I hope this book has a ton of the same campy zanyness.

The JLYY, Justice League of YesterYear... or
That be cool, but I really wanna see how they reinvent them to match the era. I honestly love the idea of a campy JL book a bit too much, which is weird considering I've never seen either of these shows.
