After The Dandy ended it's print run in December 2012, they launched a new digital version. Unfortunately, there was numerous bugs and technical issues. Having ironed out these problems, it was decided to restart, with the old issues being taken down and their content re-released in a new volume, with readers receiving the equivalent new issue for each issue they'd paid for.
One additional change is that the Desperate Dan strips now have voice acting as well as the traditional speech bubbles.
Alas, after 13 issues, this run also ended, with the title retired for good. The Dandy Annual will continue, but The Beano is now the last of the DC Thomson humour anthologies.
