    After finding Olympus completely deserted, Hercules starts searching for clues. Dane Whitman vows to use his uncle's invention for good, and becomes the new Black Knight. Meanwhile, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are held captive by Magneto.

    Featuring: 1st appearance of Dane Whitman as the Black Knight.

    The Black Knight Lives Again!

    Magneto has trapped Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch in Garrett Castle and wants them to re-join The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. The mutants refuse and Quicksilver manages to contact The Avengers. Unfortunately Jarvis is the only one in the mansion as Hawkeye is patrolling New York, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are in Las Vegas, Hercules is in Olympus and Captain America quit the team last issue. Hawkeye, Pym and The Wasp respond to the S.O.S. while Hercules is distraught at finding Olympus in ruins. Back at Garrett Castle Dane Whitman becomes the new Black Knight for the first time and heads to New York to gather The Avengers who mistake him for his villainous uncle.

    A bit of a let-down 0

    Following a very strong previous issue, this is a bit of a let-down. The Brotherhood subplot continues but nothing of particular significance takes place. Dane Whitman gets a more detailed origin story and inherits the mantle of the Black Knight. But doesn't really get to shine here. So what do we have here?: - Magneto tries to convert Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to his cause. Only to repeatedly hear them proclaim their loyalty to the Avengers. Magneto is loosing his patience.
