A Lifetime Flashing By...
As Jason Todd struggles to regain his memory, will the Outlaws fate be decided by Ra's al Ghul? This series has been a bit hit or miss since Tynion took over. It's been interrupted twice by Villains' Month and Zero year which have really hurt it's momentum.
The Good:
I've enjoyed this arc despite the interruptions. I feel like it will read much better in trade format as well. We finally get some good art with this issue. The last few have been hit or miss for me. We also get to see a pretty cool flashback that chronicles the life and times of Jason in the new 52. The Outlaws finally cut loose and there's a great moment when Starfire escapes her bonds. The final showdown next month should be an interesting one.
The Bad:
I don't think mysticism and magic are the right kind of stories for this team. I'd much rather see them on sci-fi adventures or doing something more street level related. There are plenty of magic users in the DCnU and I don't think the Outlaws need to be involved on that side of things.
The series hasn't been up to the quality it was under Lobdell from a consistency standpoint. The art has also been very inconsistent up to this issue.
Overall:
If you're a fan of this issue then keep picking up this series. Next month's finale of this arc is going to be the deciding factor if I continue reading this series.
