Omega was The Ascension's ultimate weapon, their greatest creation. However, that didn't stop them from trying to do better. Seeing Omega's early progress, Germany deemed that perhaps his younger brother could be just as good, perhaps even better, of a weapon. For Doctor Steiner had two sons. There was Michael, the Omega, and Axel, the Alpha.

Being the younger brother to Michael, Axel had looked up to him, for in the eyes of Axel, his older brother was his best friend. He didn't have many other people in his life, with his mother gone, and their father constantly working on a secret project that was never talked about with them. But, beneath that, Axel and Michael always tried to be better than the other in competition. It was an innocent rivalry, as they were mere children at the time.

But, around the time Omega was of 7 years of age, he disappeared, leaving Alpha alone with no one but his father.

Before Omega even escaped the Ascension, Project Alpha was already in progress, at the start of 1989. However, it was only after the escape of Omega that Alpha was given true attention. As Omega was able to break free and resist their methods to break their subjects minds, they took special precautions to manipulate Alpha for their purposes. Not only that, but they decided that, in anticipation for Omega's retaliation to what he was put through, they altered, mutated Alpha to be Omega's genetic and physical superior.

What they got was a cold, calculating, and lethal weapon. With Alpha on their side, with a rouges gallery of other projects, they faced off against Omega, only to lose time and time again, much to the infuriation of Alpha, slowly driving him insane. Omega and Alpha's rivalry culminated on a battle the secret facility at the moon, after Alpha killed Diana, where Omega supposedly killed him. Unfortunately for Omega, Alpha survived.

But he had changed. He deemed that the Shadow Regime was not properly run, and was, at the time, not equipped to accomplish their goals. In order to rectify that, he slew his creator in cold blood. Claiming the role as leader, his next goal was to torment Omega, and continue the studies to create a superior race to humans. For his first goal, he re-met with Omega, killing his daughter, and leaving him in despair.

Equipment

This is a one of a kind blade. There are literally no others like it, especially do to its uniqueness. This is a weapon that has been made by Alpha to specifically kill Omega. Laced with an agent made to counteract the Element-H within his brothers system, it completely nullifies his healing factor and durability, although it does not affect the fact that Omega is still extremely hard to kill. Either way, with time, Alpha can conceivably kill his older brother.
